According to Chief Deputy Charley Melton, on February 29, Deputy Jason Jordan attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle on the Zion Rd. for defective equipment. The vehicle refused to stop for a period of time with the vehicle traveling 25 mph to 35 mph. Jordan observed items being thrown out of the vehicle. After the vehicle stopped the driver and passenger were detained. Deputies located baggies that were thrown from the vehicle that contained methamphetamine. Other drugs were located in the search of the vehicle. As a result, Karen Zajac, age 54 of Flippin, and Jeffery Holloway, age 54 of Flippin, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance a class "c" felony, possession of a controlled substance and class "d" felony, tampering with physical evidence a class "d" felony, and fleeing in a vehicle. Zajac's bond was set at $5,000 professional with a court date of April 1 in the Izard County Circuit Court. Holloway's bond was set at $10,000 professional with a court date of April 1 in the Izard County Circuit Court.

On February 29, Deputy Nick Taylor stopped a vehicle on Highway 289 in Horseshoe Bend for crossing the center line. During the stop Deputy Taylor was given permission to search the vehicle. During the search Taylor located methamphetamine and paraphernalia. As a result, Dawn Hodges, age 36 f Horseshoe Bend, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance a class "a" felony and possession of drug paraphernalia a class "d" felony. Hodges' bond was set at $10,000 professional with a court date of April 1 in the Izard County Circuit Court.

On March 1, Deputy Jason Jordan made a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 69 for defective equipment. During the stop the occupants of the vehicle admitted to there being drugs and paraphernalia in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle drug paraphernalia was located. The passenger in the vehicle had methamphetamine on his person. As a result, the driver, William Burris age 20 of North Little Rock, was charged with possession of instrument of crime, possession of a controlled substance, no proof of insurance, fictious, and failure to register a vehicle. Burris' bond was set at $3.205 professional with a court date of April 23 in the Izard County District Court. The passenger in the vehicle, Bryson Barnes age 19 of North Little Rock, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia a class "d" felony and possession of a controlled substance a class "d" felony. Barnes' bond was set at $10,000 professional with a court date pending in the Izard County Circuit Court.

On March 2, Gerald Valenzuela, age 36 of Melbourne, was arrested by Deputy Evan Jones on a warrant for theft of property. Valenzuela was currently out on bond. Due to the new charges the previous bond was revoked and he was not given a bond on the new charge. His court was set for March 5 in the Izard County District Court.

On March 2, Erin Stranton, age 42 of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested by Deputy Jim Davis for domestic battery. Stranton was transported to another facility with a court date of April 7 in the Izard County District Court.

On March 3, Tyden Johnson, age 18 of Ash Flat, was arrested by deputy Jim Davis for shoplifting, Johnson's bond was set at $520 professional with a court date of April 7 in the Izard County District Court.

On March 3, Brandie Lyons, age 33 of Violet Hill, was arrested by Jail Administrator Sherry Davidson for contempt of court. Lyons is being held on no bond with a pending court date in the Izard County Circuit Court.

On March 3, William Tillman, age 27 of Jefferson, was arrested by Transport Deputy Dennis Hutchins on a warrant for failure to appear. Tillman was held on no bond and appeared in the Izard County Circuit Court on March 4.

On March 5, Keith Richardson, age 30 of Mountain View, was arrested by Deputy D.J. Tiernan on a warrant for assault. Richardson's bond was set at $1,000 cash with a court date of April 9 in the Izard County District Court. Richardson was also charged with parole violations. He is being held on no bond for that charge with a pending hearing date.

On March 5, Larry Richardson, age 50 of Calico Rock, was arrested by Deputy D.J. Tiernan on a warrant for assault. Richardson was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. Richardson's bond on the assault was set at $1,000 cash. The bond on the possession charges was set at $1,250 professional. Richardson's court date was set for April 7 in the Izard County District Court.
