IZARD COUNTY SHERIFF'S REPORT SHERIFF JACK YANCEY

According to Chief Deputy Charley Melton, on May 17 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Izard County Sheriff's Department Dispatch received a 911 call from a male subject in the 100 block of Main Street in Oxford for a reported self-inflicted accidental shooting. The victim was transported for medical treatment. No foul play is suspected. 

On May 15 Deputy Tyler Webb made a traffic stop on a vehicle on HWY 56 in Calico Rock. During the stop it was learned that the driver of the vehicle was on active supervision with Probation / Parole. As a result, the vehicle was searched. During the search drug paraphernalia was located. The passenger in the vehicle, James Minnick, age 54 of Glenco, stated he had found the paraphernalia by a dumpster where he works, that he had never done drugs before and wanted to see what it felt like. Minnick was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a class "D" felony. Minnick is scheduled to appear in the Izard County Circuit Court on June 17. 

On May 16, Erik Buczynski, age 50 of Mountain Home, was arrested by Deputy Jason Jordan for disorderly conduct. Buczynski is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on July 23.
