According to Chief Deputy Charley Melton,on June 6 Deputy Sean Tomlinson made a traffic stop on State HWY 58. During the traffic stop the driver was identified as Autumne Burns, age 19 of Pleasant Grove. The passenger was identified as John Battles, age 23 of Sidney. During the traffic stop the vehicle was searched with numerous items of drug paraphernalia located. As a result,both were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a class "D" felony. Battles is currently under supervision with Arkansas Probation/Parole whom placed a hold on him. Both are scheduled to appear in the Izard County Circuit Court on June 17.

On June 11, Roger Johnson, age 50 of Melbourne, was arrested on a warrant for rape, a class "Y" felony. No further information will be released for the privacy of the victim.Johnson has a hold through the Arkansas Community Corrections due to him being on active parole.

On June 8, Donald Fox, age 45 of Romance, was arrested by Transport Officer Dennis Hutchins on a warrant for petition to revoke probation/parole. Fox is scheduled to appear in the Izard County Circuit Court on June 17.

On June 9, Joshua Collins, age 35 of Salem, was transported from the Fulton County Jail to Izard County Jail on a warrant for domestic battery 3rddegree. Collins is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on July 7.

On June 11, Bobby Butler, age 36 of Melbourne, was arrested by Deputy Jason Jordan for DWI, refusal to submit, careless driving, and failure to stop at a stop sign. Butler is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on August 6.
