According to Chief Deputy Charley Melton, on November 29, 2020 Deputy Sean Tomlinson responded to a residence in Melbourne where it was reported that Jamaal Ensley, age 38 of Melbourne, had hit a child multiple times leaving marks. During this time other children were present. After an investigation into the matter, Ensley was charged with three counts of domestic battery 2nd degree; class "c" felonies; and four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor 1st degree; class "d" felonies. Ensley's bond was set at $25,000 cash and he is scheduled to appear in the Izard County Circuit Court on December 23.

On December 2, Deputy Tyler Webb and Sgt. Mike Smith responded to a domestic call on hwy 9 South of Melbourne. Upon arrival by Deputy Webb stated there were multiple people in the driveway yelling and screaming at each other. Webb stated he was pointed down the road to where the reported aggressor was located. Webb went down the road where the male aggressor was along with a female. Webb placed the male into custody pending an investigation into the call. Webb stated he made contact with the female telling her she needed to get out of the road. The female then went and blocked the driveway to where Webb could not pull in. When Webb tried to identify the female, she started cursing and was saying she did not have to cooperate with Webb. Sgt. Smith arrived on scene and the investigation continued. Webb learned that Elliot had been physically aggressive to another male subject at the residence. Smith was led to a pile of items laying on the ground next to a vehicle. While Smith was looking at the items, he could hear the female yell that she helped "him steal all of it". The property was seized and the male, who was identified as Joshua Elliott, age 27 of Kensett, and the female, who was identified as Sabryna Irby, age 25 of Melbourne, was taken into custody. Further investigation by Lt. Gabriel Sanders determined the property that was recovered had been stolen from a residence nearby. Both Elliot and Irby were charged in the Izard County Circuit Court with residential burglary; a class "b" felony; criminal mischief; a class "d" felony; and theft of property; a class "a" misdemeanor. For these charges, Elliott's bond was set at $20,000 professional and Irby's was set at $5,000 professional. They are scheduled to appear in the Izard County Circuit Court on December 23. Elliot also faces domestic battery 3rd degree and public intoxication. He is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on January 7, 2021 on those charges. Irby was also charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction governmental operations. She is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on January 7, 2021.

As a result of Thomas Slusher, age 57 of Horseshoe Bend, not following up with two separate dates to verify his information as a sex offender, on December 1 he was charged with failure to register or verify registration generally as a sex offender, a class "c" felony. Slusher's bond was set at $10,000 professional and a court date of December 23 in the Izard County Circuit Court.

As a result of an investigation into items being taken from outside various business' in Melbourne, Jeremy Barner, age 49 of Melbourne, was arrested on November 28 and charged with four counts of theft of property. Karmen Barner, age 41 of Melbourne, was arrested on November 30 and charged with four counts of theft. Randall Jackson, age 58 of Melbourne, was arrested on December 4 and charged with four counts of theft. Faith Jackson, age 57 of Melbourne, was arrested on December 4 and charged with three counts of theft. The Barner's are scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on December 10. The Jackson's are scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on January 21, 2021.  

On December 1, Thomas Mattmiller, age 32 of Batesville, was arrested by Deputy J Barnes for obstructing governmental operations, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mattmiller is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on December 8.

On December 2, Kenny Johnson, age 42 of Mount Pleasant, was arrested by Deputy Tyler Webb for domestic battery 3rd degree and interference with emergency communications. Johnson is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on January 7, 2021.

On December 4, Michael Brindley, age 46 of Calico Rock, was arrested on a warrant for violation of the Arkansas hot check law. Bindley is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on January 21, 2021.

On December 6, Adam Johnson, age 20 of Melbourne, was arrested by Sgt. Mike Smith for careless driving, driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical test, possession of an open container of alcohol, possession of alcohol by a minor, and possession of a controlled substance. Johnson is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on January 7, 2021.

On December 6, Richard Brown, age 62 of Pineville, was arrested by Deputy Toby Smith for public intoxication. Brown is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on January 21, 2021.

On December 6, Earle Davenport, age 49 of Yellville, was arrested by Deputy Tyler Webb for public intoxication and carrying a prohibited weapon. Davenport is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on January 7, 2021.
