A Saturday night traffic stop on Boswell Road about a mile south of Boswell led to the arrest of a Melbourne man on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Phillip Kenneth White, 47, according to Sheriff Tate Lawrence failed all field sobriety tests and blew a .13 on blood alcohol concentration test. The legal limit for driving is .08 blood alcohol. White posted bond the following day in the amount of $1055 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Heather M. Parish, age 38 of Melbourne was arrested August 24 on several warrants from other jurisdictions. An Independence County based state trooper who had asked to be notified of Parish’s arrest citied Parish on several charges to include leaving the scene of an Independence County vehicle accident that occurred some weeks ago. Parish was released with a court date on some of the warrants and was required to posted a $1,000 bond on another before being released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
