Park Party Nets Nine in Jail

PARK PARTY NETS NINE IN JAIL
Having information that a possible drug and alcohol party was being held at he old Melbourne City Park Friday, near the flooring mill,  night led to the arrest of nine people on various charges by Izard County deputies  Seven males and two females were brought to the Izard County Detention Facility, according to Sheriff Tate Lawrence.

Nathan Lee Hellums, age 20 of 206 College Drive in Melbourne was charged with  possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug  paraphernalia ,  endangering the welfare of a minor for having a two year old child with him, and public intoxications-drugs. Hellums tested positive for marijuana and bond was set at $3,270 that was posted the following day.. 
Miguel Angle Aranza, age 20 of 389 Allen Chapel Road in Batesville was charged with public intoxication and tested positive for marijuana , meth, and amphetamines. Aranza posted bond in the amount of $205 and was released.

Daniel Wayne Edwards, age 21 of 206 College Drive in Melbourne was charged with public intoxication-drugs. Edwards tested positive for marijuana .  He posted bond in the amount of $205 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Darin Kent Blevins, Jr., age 21 of 99 Bond Street in Batesville was charged with public intoxication-drugs.  Blevins tested positive for marijuana and amphetamines. Blevins posted bond the following day in the amount of $205 and was released.

Timothy Greenway, age 25 of 1180 Haley Street in Melbourne was charged with public intoxication - drugs. Greenway tested positive for marijuana..  Greenway posted bond in the amount of $205 and was released.
Nicholas Dean Bull, age 18 of Melbourne was charged with public intoxication-drugs and tested positive for marijuana. Bull posted bond in the amount of $205 and was released. 

David Keith Crider, age 21 of 414 Whispering Pines in Oxford was charged with public intoxication and possessing a controlled substance.  Crider’s bond amount was $1,435 which he posted the following day.
Brittany Nicole Clinton  of 1545 Edith Street in Batesville was charged with public intoxication, possession of a controlled substance, and obstructing governmental operations. The obstruction charge stems from Clinton and another female arrestee switching identification during the booking process.  Clinton remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,415 bond.

Hanna Brooke Grady, age 21 of Sage was charged with public intoxication and obstructing governmental operations.  Grady posted bond in the amount of $1,310 and was released.

Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that additional charges are likely relating to one or more of the nine arrested.
In unrelated activity the night of October 13, the sheriff’s department was advised   there were sounds of a car crash near Knob Creek Road and state highway 9, Bambie R. Williams, age 34 of Melbourne was arrested for driving while intoxicated, careless/prohibited driving and leaving the scene of an accident. According to reports, Deputy Ace Beebe observed a vehicle matching the description given to him earlier traveling on Pine Street in Melbourne.  The vehicle failed to stop even though Deputy Beebe activated his emergency lights and  siren.  The vehicle pulled into the driveway of 304 Pine Street and when he made contact with Williams he detected the smell of intoxicates coming from Williams.  Williams stated that she had ran off the road and hit a road sign but that she couldn’t remember where the accident occurred and thought that she was on a back road in Melbourne but could not remember if she was coming into or leaving Melbourne when the accident occurred .  Williams posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,390 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
