Deputies responded Wednesday night, January 19 to a residence on College Drive in Melbourne involving a domestic disturbance. A female victim stated that her husband, Adam Malloy had pointed a gun at her and that she was afraid of him. According to Sheriff Tate Lawrence, deputies found a small caliber revolver in the seat cushions near where Mallory was setting. The victim further stated that Malloy had threatened to kill himself and that he would make her observe the shooting. A neighbor juvenile was present during the incident. Mallory, age 21 was arrested and charged with first degree assault on a family member and endangering the welfare of minor. Malloy posted bond January 23 in the amount of $1,000 and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
A disturbance in the early hours of January 24 at a residence in the J Bar J Community near Melbourne resulted in the arrest of Brayden Conyers. According to the homeowner, Conyers was found to have entered the residence through a window leading to her daughter’s bedroom. Conyers, age 20 of Melbourne was found under the bed and arrested on the charge of criminal trespass. Conyers remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of bond.
Two males were arrested earlier in the week and placed on investigative holds pending formal charges relating to thefts in the county. Arrested were John Edward Rone, age 23 of Melbourne and Jerry L. Lewis, age 18 of Batesville. At the time of arrest, Rone tested positive for methamphetamines and amphetamines, and Lewis tested positive for marijuana, meth, and amphetamines.
Kathryn Lenell Mashburn, age 34 of Violet Hill was arrested Friday on a violation of Arkansas hot check law warrant. Mashburn posted bon din the amount of $805 and was released with a court date.
Randy Ronald Foster, age 29 of Hardy was arrested January 17 on failure to pay fines warrant. Foster remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $1,230 cash bond.
