The Izard County Sheriff’s Department has recovered an abundance of items believed to have been stolen in recent days. The last of several pickup truck and trailer loads of items were recovered and taken to this sheriff’s office on Monday December 14 by sheriff‘s deputies. . Some items to include a pickup truck stolen from Mt. Pleasant and a four wheeler stolen from the Sidney area have been returned to the rightful owners. A casket size American Flag, which could be of great semimetal value to an unknown victim, was recovered. Authorities from adjacent counties have looked at the recovered items and in one case Stone County identified items stolen from that area. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that the list of other items recovered are being cross referenced to theft cases in an effort to return more property to rightful owners. These recovered items including the pickup truck and four wheeler were recovered from a residence on River Road near Guion. Sheriff Lawrence went on to say that a suspect has been identified and located and that formal charges within the next days are anticipated. The investigation is continuing, the sheriff said.
A traffic stop Saturday night on Old Dolph Road near Calico Rock resulted in the driver and passenger being arrested on alcohol related charges. Misty A. Waire, age 30 of Norfork was charged with driving while intoxicated and Jamie Clayton Stapleton, age 31 of Calico Rock was charged with public intoxication. Both are being held in the Izard County Detention Facility.
Steven Wayne Tate, age 29 of Batesville was arrested Saturday night on a failure to pay fines warrant. Tate was incarcerated on a $940 cash bond.
Stacy Lea Boling, age 26 of Ash Flat was arrested Saturday night on a felony failure to appear warrant. Boling is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bond.
Laura Anne Mus, age 25 of Mountain Home was arrested Thursday on a felony to appear warrant stemming from an earlier drug related charge. Mus remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
Jason Lee Smith, age 30 of Franklin was arrested February 15 pending formal theft charges related to the taken of saddles. Smith remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
Cheryl Lynn Edwards, age 40 of Geep was arrested February 16 on a violation of Arkansas hot check law warrant. Edwards posted bond the same day in the amount of $113 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
A Fox man, Harold Dwain Freeze, age 44 was arrested February 15 on warrant charging him with violating the Arkansas hot check law. Freeze was released from the Izard County Detention Facility on the day of his arrest after posting a cash bond in the amount of $2,203.
Larry Dean Powell, age 52 of Dolph was arrested Friday for failure to pay fines. Powell remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $600 bond.
Jeremy David Wray, age 32 of Salem was arrested Friday on a failure to appear warrant and fleeing. Wray’s original arrest involved multiple traffic offenses including leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. Wray remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
Jessie Wayne Rogers, age 27 of Highland was arrested Thursday on a felony failure to appear warrant stemming from previous charges involving forgery of a prescription. Rogers remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
A Conway man, thirty year old Rodney Holt Baker was arrested February 13 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Baker was released the same from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a cash bond in the amount of $1,730.
William Wesley Booth, age 30 of Sage was arrested February 14 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Booth appeared in Izard County District Court on Thursday and transferred to Independence County authorities .
Jordan Randal Meadows, age 19 of Washburn, Missouri was arrested Saturday on a failure to pay fines warrant. Meadows remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $575 cash bond.
