Deputies of the Izard County Sheriff’s Department and agents of the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force assisted officers of the Horseshoe Bend Police Department in the April 27 arrest and formal drug charges of a man and woman. What began as a compliant of theft of services against Christopher Roberts, age 39 of Paragould resulted in felony charges against him and a woman identified as Margaret Brabon, age 36 of Horseshoe Bend.. Roberts and Brabon were charged with manufacture of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, a class “y” felony; use or possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia with the intent of manufacture methamphetamine, a class “b” felony; use or possession with the intent of use drug paraphernalia, a class “c” felony; ; and theft by receiving, a class “b” felony. Roberts remains in the e Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $50,000 bond while Brabon is held on a no bond status.
Tommy Scott Mullins, age 45 of Melbourne was arrested April 25 on charges of domestic battering third degree and disorderly conduct. The arrest stem from an physical incident with a female at a residence in Melbourne. Mullins remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $1,000 bond
Jeremiah C. Totman, age 24 of Guion was arrested April 26 at a residence in Mt. Pleasant. The incident, according to Sheriff Tate Lawrence relates to an earlier alleged theft incidence between Totman and other parties. Totman was charged with disorderly conduct, harassment, and criminal trespass. Totman was released the following day from the Izard County Detention Facility and given a court date in District Court.
Jared Dwight Branscum, age 29 of Pineville was arrested April 27 on a child support enforcement warrant. Branscum posted bond the following day in the amount of $489 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Laura Ann Kalata, age 31 of Mountain Home was arrested April 26 on a child support enforcement warrant. Katala remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $9,224 bond.
Two Izard County inmates who were awaiting bed space with the Arkansas Department of Community Correction were transported Friday to began their sentence. These inmat4es were Jessie Charles Carroll, age 46 of Calico Rock and William E. Blackley, age 29 of Melbourne.
