Formal charges of residential burglary and theft were brought against Steven Wayne Marshall, age 45 of 309 Hayfield Lane in Calico Rock. The May 2 charges stem from an investigation by the Izard County Sheriff’s Department involving the theft of tools and copper tubing from a house under construction on the Old Dolph Road. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that in addition to these felonies, one a class “b” and the other a class “c”, Marshall is accused of being an absconder from parole on a previous conviction. Marshall has been temporarily released from the Izard County Detention Facility to a rehabilitation facility.
In other sheriff’s department activities, two Batesville men were arrested Saturday following a report that scrap items were being taken from a recently burned residence in Melbourne. Formal charges are pending against Matthew Gregory Henry, age 26 and Jeff Lindsey Hall, Jr. age 38. Both remain in the Izard County Detention Facility.
Following a traffic stop Thursday, a Mt. Pleasant man identified as Johnathan Andrew Goodwin, age 24 of West Road was charged with driving while intoxicated and not wearing a seat belt. Goodwin posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,085 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Nelson Adrian Rosales, age 27 of Sherwood was arrested Thursday for having no driver’s license. Rosales was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the day of his arrest after posting bond in the amount of $355.
A Texarkana, Texas man, Robert Lawrence Traylor, age 48 was arrested Thursday for operating a vehicle without insurance and driving on a suspended license. Traylor was released the following day after posting bond in the amount of $835.
Rodney Sandy Vance, age 34 of Cave City was arrested Friday on the charge of driving on a suspended l license. Vance is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $1,105 bond and a hold by Sharp County.
A Violet Hill woman, Kathryn Lenell Masburn was arrested Thursday on an Izard County failure to appear warrant. The 34 year old posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $509 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
A failure to pay fines warrant landed Vonia Estes in jail on Thursday. The 47 year old Melbourne woman posted bond the following day in the amount of $350 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Corey Edward Eitleman, age 31 of Melbourne was arrested Friday on a failure to pay fines warrant. Eitleman posted bond the following day in the amount of $850 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
