Two Melbourne men and man from Hardy were recently arrested in connection with breaking and entering along with criminal mischief at the old Hayes Flooring Mill in Calico Rock. Joshua N. Spangler, age 18 of Melbourne, Austin Douglas Carter, age 20 of Melbourne and Chase Hussung, age 19 of Hardy are accused of entering the Calico Rock facility in an attempt to steal electrical wiring. Entry to building was accomplished by cutting a hole in the side of the building using a torch which later malfunctioned and ignited the torch hoses and a table inside the building. The breaking and entering charge is a class “d” felony while the criminal mischief charge is a class “a“ misdemeanor. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said the three will likely be placed on a no bond status as the result of previous court action.
The two Batesville men earlier arrested in connection with attempting to steal scrap metal from a burned house in Melbourne were formally charged with criminal trespass and criminal attempt to commit theft of scrap metal. Jeff Hall, Jr., age 38 and Matthew Henry, age 26 posted bond in the amount of $2,500 on these May 9 charges and were released with a court date from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Deputies were dispatched to Roselawn Cemetery in Calico Rock the night of May 9 in response to a disturbance and a reported fight. Four Calico Rock individuals, three males and one female were arrested on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Jarrett Morehead, age 21; Keith Richardson, age 21; William Taylor age 39; and Sarah Taylor, age 29 posted bond the following day in the amount of $410 and were released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Eric Chad Fuller, age 37 of Mt. Pleasant was arrested Friday on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Fuller posted bond in the amount of $2,805 and was released later that day from the Izard County Detention Facility.
James Earl Jones, age 43 of Calico Rock was arrested Friday for possession of a controlled substance and failure to pay fines. Jones posted bond the following day in the amount of $200 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Johnny Raydale Jones, age 18 of Violet Hill was arrested Saturday on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless driving, and driving left of center.
James William Teague, age 25 of Dolph was arrested Friday on changes of domestic battery third degree and endangering the welfare of a minor-two counts. Teague was released the following day after appearing before District Judge David Miller.
Jeremy Lee Sample, age 36 of Dolph was arrested Thursday on the charge of domestic battery third degree. Sample appeared before Judge David Miller on Saturday and was released with a court date.
Laura Suzanne Mansfield, age 36 of Hornersville, Missouri was arrested Thursday on a failure to pay fines warrant. Mansfield posted bond the following day in the amount of $950 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Ashley Renee Kings, age 42 of Onaway, Minnesota was arrested Friday on a failure to pay fines warrant. King posted bond in the amount of $340 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
