Carl Benjamin Vannatter, age 25, has been charged in Izard County Circuit Court with residential burglary and theft of property relating to the break in of the Jessie Watson residence located at 248 Corinth Road near Pineville. The June 11 theft included gold coins and other items. The Izard County Sheriff’s Department developed information recently that some of the items taken had been sold to a pawn shop near Batesville. The owner of the pawn shop produced a receipt for a twenty dollar gold piece they had been purchased from Vannatter. The receipt was dated June 11, the same day of the reported crime at the Watson residence. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said the residential burglary charge is a class “b” felony and the theft of property charge is a class “c” felony.
In an another theft case, items reported stolen from a storage shed owned by Ronnie Parnell of Crossroad in the Pineville area were discovered in a residence in Viola. The owner of the Viola residence stated that Carl Benjamin Vannatter brought the items, a 27 inch flat screen television and play station along with numerous games, to the residence. In this case, Vannater has been charged with breaking and entering, a class “d” felony and with theft of property, a class “a” misdemeanor.
Vannatter remains at large pending an arrest. Bond has been set at $35,000 on all four charges. Sheriff Lawrence asked that anyone having knowledge of Vannatter’s whereabouts to contact the Izard County Sheriff’s Department at 870 368 4203.
Kevin Keith Chute, age 40 of Pineville was arrested September 27 on charges of driving while intoxicated, possessing an instrument of crime, driving on a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a vehicle without a license plate, and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Chute remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on an investigative hold as the result of items suspected of being stolen from adjoining counties were found in his possession.
Another Pineville man, fifty three year old Richard Thomas Brown was arrested September 28 on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving on a suspended license, and driving left of center. Brown posted bond the following day in the amount of $4,040 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Ricky Landon Brown, age 55 of Pineville was returned to the Izard County Detention Facility on charges of domestic battering and contempt of court after failing to complete a rehabilitation program. Brown remains incarcerated.
Jamie Tai Hood, age 23 of Calico Rock was arrested early Friday morning on the change of public intoxication. Hood posted bond later that day in the amount of $205 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Nicholas Dean Bull, age 19 of Melbourne was jailed for contempt of court September 28 after testing positive for an illegal drug. Bull remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
Steven Wayne Marshall, age 45 of Dolph was arrested September 27 on charges of public intoxication and possessing an instrument of crime. Items found in Marshall’s possession are suspected of being stolen from surrounding counties. Marshall remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on parole and investigative hold.
Ruby Ann Loosey, age 48 of Oxford was arrested September 27 on the charge of driving on a suspended license. Loosey posted bond the following day in the amount of $1105 and was released.
Lisa Kay Smith, age 44 who stated she was homeless was arrested at a Dolph residence early Sunday morning on the charge of public intoxication. Smith remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of bond in the amount of $205.
Michael Justin Reid, age 26 of Marshall was arrested September 28 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Reid appeared in Izard County District Court the following day and was released.
Matt Wayne McQueen, age 22 of Batesville was arrested September 26 on failure to appear warrant. McQueen remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $2000 cash bond.
Bobby Ray Eddy, age 44 of Melbourne was arrested September 28 on a hot check warrant and driving on a suspended license. Eddy appeared in Izard County District Court the following day and was later transported to Independence County to answer to similar charges.
Kisha Dawn Christopher, age 26 of Batesville was arrested Friday on a failure to pay fines warrant. Christopher posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $455 and was released.
Jeremy Lewis Gross, age 37 of Melbourne was arrested September 27 on a hot check warrant. After turning himself into authorities, Gross posted bond in the amount of $374 and was released.
