BROCKWELL WOMAN CHARGED WITH 22 COUNTS

LISA MARIE HARSHAW

Lisa Marie Harshaw, age 35 of Brockwell was arrested November 17 and charged with twenty two counts of theft by deception, each a class “a”  misdemeanor.  Harshaw is accused of writing 22 checks on a closed account to various businesses in Calico Rock and Melbourne.  During the investigation, it was determined that another check had been written to a Mountain Home business and authorities in Baxter County were contacted.  The checks were written on a closed account of the Union Federal Bank.  The checks showed an address for Harshaw as Indianapolis, Indiana.  The checks totaled approximately $2,500.  Harshaw finally admitted to writing the checks during an interview, according to Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence.  Harshaw was released from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting bond in the amount of $2,500.

Harshaw was arrested on a separate warrant for theft of public services.  This charge stems from breaking the lock on a Melbourne Water Department meter in order to obtain free water.

In an unrelated arrest,  Mark Duncan, age 37 of Melbourne was arrested November 15 after employees of a Melbourne business called the sheriff’s department and stated that an intoxicated male was in the store.  Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that as he entered the store and was directed to Duncan, it was obvious that the individual was intoxicated to the point of being a danger to himself.  Sheriff Lawrence said that Duncan also smelled of intoxicants. Duncan was removed from the store and taken to the Izard County Detention Facility where he was charged was public intoxication and arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to pay fines.   Duncan posted bond the following day in the amount of $615, given a court date and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

An Ash Flat woman was charged the night of November 15 with three counts of domestic battery.  Izard County deputies were called to a residence on Dodeker Trail, Ash Flat near the Sharp County line in response to woman who was intoxicated and became combative when relatives took her car keys to prevent her from driving.  Two males and one female received minor injuries from Stacey Dennis, age 31 of the Dodderer address.  Denise was released from the Izard County Detention Facility November 17 after posting cash bond in the amount of $250.

Kagni Lain Gillihan, age 26 of Melbourne was arrested Saturday on charges of terrorist threatening second degree and domestic battering third degree. An alteration allegedly took place at the home of Gillihan’s boyfriend in Franklin the previous night.  Gillihan was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the day of her arrest and given a court date..

Izard County deputies were called to a residence in the Riverview Road area of Sylamore in response to suspicious person on foot near the residence. The person  identified as Dale M. Loyer, age 30 of Pine Bluff appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance and appeared to be extremely agitated. Loyer refused to talk to deputies and asked to be taken to jail.. Loyer was arrested on charges of criminal trespass and public intoxication-drugs.  Loyer refused to submit to a chemical test when he arrived at the Izard County Detention Facility. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Loyer remains incarcerated on a criminal investigative hold.

Jeremiah Christopher Totman, age 24 of Mountain View was arrested on disorderly conduct warrants November 17, appeared before Izard County District Judge David E. Miller, given a court date and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Amanda Kay Hatfield, age 23 of Calico Rock was arrested November 14 on a Sharp County Failure to appear warrant.  Hatified was transported the day of her arrest to the Sharp County Jail.

Scott Rayburn Galloway, age 27 of Boswell was arrested November 18 on a probation/parole violation.  Galloway remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a department of correction hold.

Jesse Dai  ne May, age 28 of Calico Rock was arrested November 16 on a Stone County warrant.  May posted bond in the amount of $4,378 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Michael Lee Smith, age 39 of Viola was arrested November 16 on a Baxter County failure to appear warrant. Smith was transported to Baxter County the following day.

Shannon L Tate, who stated he was homeless, was arrested on an Independence County warrant for a parole violation and was transported to Independence County the following day.

Jeremy Jefferson Vickers, age 31 of  Cave City was arrested November 13 on child support enforcement warrant and a Sharp County warrant for failure to pay fines. Vickers remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $7,300 bond.
