ABSCONDER ARRESTED IN BROCKWELL

Mitcheal Lee Smith, age 40 of Viola was arrested the afternoon of March 28 after Izard County deputies had tracked him to a residence in Brockwell.  Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that deputies, assisted by the Arkansas State Police and the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force were earlier informed that Smith was a parole absconder and that he should be considered armed and dangerous.  Smith,  was removed from the Wheeler residence in Broockwell after another occupant of the house,  Ricky Lake, had informed deputies that Smith was not in the house.  Smith remains in the Izard County Detention Facility  on a no bond status as an absconder from the Arkansas Department of Correction an on holds from Izard County and Baxter.  Ricky Lake, age 33 of the  Brockwell area was charged with obstructing governmental operations.  Lake posted bond later in the amount of $1,105, was given a court date and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Following a call of a domestic violence situation in Pineville, deputies arrested James William Teague, age 26 of Dolph on charges of domestic battering third degree.  Pamela Irene Teague, age 23 of Dolph was  also charged with domestic battering third degree.  A third person, Samantha Jo Branscum, age 23 of Pineville was also charged with domestic battering third degree. James Teague posted bond Thursday in the amount of $2500, given a court date, and released . Pamela Teague was released Thursday after posting a bond in the amount of $1,000 and given a court date. Branscum also posted bond on Thursday in the amount of $1,000, given a court date and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Late afternoon of March 28, Izard County deputies were dispatched to the Terrance Apartments in Calico Rock in response to a compliant of an intoxicated male being disorderly out in the parking lot.  Upon arrival of Deputy Acy Beebe, the compliant stated that a male was acting weird, yelling, and swinging his arms.  A person matching the description given to Deputy Beebe was located inside an apartment and identified as Donnie Woodcock.  Woodcock stated that he was he was yelling at people trying to spread the word and was also speaking in what sounded like different tongues and at on point was on his knees saying he was praying.  Woodcock, age 31  resides at various residences in the Pineville and Calico Rock area.  Woodcock faces charges of disorderly conduct, terrorist threatening second degree, and obstructing operations; and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $2000 cash bond set by District Judge David E. Miller.

Herschel Dale Ducker, age 56 of Melbourne was arrested late Thursday after it was reported that Ducker had set off some sort of explosive device in the parking lot of an apartment complex.  Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that something had caused injury to Ducker.  Ducker was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. No one else was injured.  Ducker was given a court date, later released and sought medical attention.

Benjamin Jacob Hinds, age 29 of Oxford was arrested the morning of March 26 on charges of domestic battering and driving on a suspended license.  Hinds was released the following day after appearing before Judge David E. Miller and given a court date.

Sean Patrick Morse, age 44 of Melbourne was arrested Thursday night on charges of driving while intoxicated and domestic battering third degree following the report of an incident at Sonic Drive In in Melbourne.  In the same incident Rhonda Gay Dockins, age 46 of Melbourne was charged with public intoxication. Dockins was released the following day and given a court date.  Morse was released the following day after posting a cash bond in the of $1,000.

George B. Tunnicliff, age 48 of Dolph was arrested the afternoon of March 28 on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving on a revoked license , driving left center, and speeding.  Tunnicliff was released the following day after appearing before Judge David E. Miller and given a court date.

Early Saturday morning, Deputy Kevin Helm was dispatched  in Melbourne in response to male subject walking down Main Street yelling obscenities.  Brayden William Conyers, age 21 of Melbourne was arrested on the charge of public intoxication. Conyers remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $205 bond.

Elaine Billie Brady, age 33 of Imboden was arrested Saturday on violation of Arkansas hot check law warrant.  Brandy remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $350 cash bond. 

Jolynn Mandel, age 27 of Calico Rock was arrested Saturday on warrants from Independence and Baxter Counties.  Mandel remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of bonding totaling $725.

Ceasar Eugene Davis, age 43 of Calico Rock was arrested March 26 on an Izard County failure to pay warrant and on holds from Conway and Sherwood.  Davis remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $500 cash bond.

Kevin Edward Mead, age 41 of Little Rock was arrested Sunday on failure to pay warrants.  Mead remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $860 cash bond.

Billy Joe Brumley, age 42 of Violet Hill was arrested Thursday on a failure to pay fines warrant.  Brumley posted a cash bond in the amount of $610 and was released the same day.

Arthur B. Tunnicliff, age 26 of Calico Rock was order jailed March 28 for a four day commitment resulting from a probation violation.
