ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOLLOWING WEST ROAD ALTERCATION
       JIMMY HOOPER      JACOB HOOPER      JOSHUA PICKREN 

 

Additional charges have been filed against the three individuals involved in a May 6 altercation at a residence on West Road, Mt. Pleasant.  Two individuals, Jimmy Lynn Hooper, age 32 of Mt. Pleasant and his brother, Jacob Shane Hooper age 29, also of Mt. Pleasant, who were earlier charged with criminal trespass,  have been  further charged as the result of a compliant filed by Joshua Pickren.  Jimmy Hooper was recently charged with assault first degree and battery third degree, both class “A” misdemeanors while Jacob Hooper has been charged with battery third degree.  The third individual, Joshua Chad Pickren, age 28 of Mt. Pleasant now faces a charge of terrorist threatening second degree.

 Sheriff Tate Lawrence said at  the time of May 6 incident, Josh Pickren would not provide a statement and refused to press charges against the Hooper brothers but later decided to do so.   Lawrence also said the terrorist threatening charge against Picker is the result  of a compliant that  Pickren had messaged phone threats to the Hooper family.

Josh Pickren was arrested June 18 and released from the Izard County Detention Facility the day of his arrest after given a court date and posting a professional bond in the amount of $3,000.  Jimmy and Jacob Hooper were arrested June 22 and released the day of their arrest after posting cash bond in the amounts of $250 and $500 respectively.  

Tessa Lynn Carter, age 30 of Pocahontas was arrested June 19 on a felony failure to appear warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond.

In unrelated matters, Eric Nathan Prince, age 61 of Melbourne was arrested the afternoon of June 20 on charges of driving while intoxicated, drinking in public,  and improper lane changed.  Prince was release the following day after given a court date and posting bond in the amount of $1385.

Kevin Patrick Roberts, age 39 of Melbourne was arrested June18 on an Izard County warrant accusing him of harassing communications.  Roberts was release the day of his arrest and given a court date.

Kelly Alberson, age 34 of Horseshoe Bend and Bryan Keith Mathis, age 43 of Cherokee Village were arrested June 17 on the charges of disorderly conduct following an incident near the Strawberry River bridge on state highway 289.   Sheriff Lawrence sadi the two were chasing a person they had allegedly had difficulties with  earlier over a missing bottle of alcohol.  Mathis posted bond the following day in the amount of $205, given a court date and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.  Alberson was released June 20 after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller and given a court date.

Wilburn Nathaniel Carter, age 18 of Dolph was arrested early Friday morning after creating a disrubance at his grand parents  residence where Carter also resides. Carter was charged with disorderly conduct and later released after requesting medical help.

Tommy Delva Smith, Jr., age 31 of Jacksonville was arrested Saturday on a child support enforcement warrant.  Smith remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of bond in the amount of $27,077.

Austin Cody Ruple ,age 26 of Jacksonville was arrested early Sunday morning on the charge of criminal mischief second degree. Ruple, who had been residing with a relative in Mt. Pleasant and was being sent home, apparently placed a rifle inside his clothing bag and attempted to leave with it.  Ruple is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $1105 bond and a no-bond warrant from Pulaski County.

Forest Henry Patterson, age 19 of Calico Rock was arrested June 20 on failure to pay fines warrant.  Patterson posted a cash bond the following day in the amount of $680, given a court date, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Dominic Nelson, age 38  of Mt. View was arrested June 21 on failure to pay fines warrant following an earlier conviction of driving while intoxicated.  Nelson posted a $500 cash bond June 23, given a court date, and released from the izard County Detention Facility.

Andrea Dawn Neevel, age 32 of Miller Street in Melbourne was arrested June 21 on an outstanding Independence County warrant and was transported the following day to Independence County.

Sherman Gayle Horner, age 50 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested Friday on a failure to appear warrant.  Horner appeared before District Judge David E. Miller the following day, was released and given a court date.

Ronald Russell Hill, age 45 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested  Saturday on a Horseshoe Bend misdemeanor warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $400 bond.

Eight additional individuals were arrested on failure to pay fines warrant including Erich Chad Fuller, age 38 of Mt. Pleasant who was arrested June 22 and released the following day with a court date after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller;   Shirley Hughes, age 25 of Calico Rock, who was arrested June 20  and released the day of her arrest after given a court date and posting bond in the amount of $500;  Adrian Michael Humphries, age 24 of Batesville, who was arrested June 24 and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $430 cash bond:  Steven William Chute, age 22 of Pineville, who was arrested June22 and released the following day after posting a cash bond in the amount of $100;  Robert Troy Roberts, age 27 of Oxford, who was arrested June 19 and released the following day after posting a cash bond in the amount of $1,150;  Deina Marie Stonebraker, age 26 of Calico Rock, who was arrested June 20 and released the day of her arrest after posting 1 $280 cash bond;  Steven Wayne Tate, age 30 of Prim, who was arrested June 19 and relapsed the following day after posting a $145 cash bond; and Sarah Elizabeth Taylor, who was arrested June 20 and released the day of her arrest after posting a cash bond in the amount of $365.
