HORSESHOE BEND MAN ARRESTED ON DOMESTIC CHARGES

 

Billy Leon Smallwood of Horseshoe Bend was arrested the night of August 3 on the charge of domestic battering third degree. The charge stems from an altercation with his wife and daughter.  Sheriff Tate Lawrence said officers of the Horseshoe Bend Police department made the arrest. Smallwood was later released from the Izard County Detention Facility after having been served with a no contact order.

Kenton Max Johnson, age 50 and says he is homeless was again arrested, this time for possession of a controlled substance and on warrants from Norfolk and Boone County. Sheriff Lawrence said Johnson has frequent encounters with law enforcement. Johnson remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Travis Allen Langston, age 30 of Calico Rock was arrested August 13 on theft of property and theft of Services warrant. According to reports, the charges stem from Langston taking a cell phone and using it. Langston remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on these charges and a Baxter County hold.

A Violet Hill man, Michael Barak Norton was arrested around midnight Saturday on charges of criminal mischief first degree, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Thirty six year old Norton remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,510 bond.

Dustin Michael Baird, age 26 of Melbourne was arrested Thursday on a probation/parole violation and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending a revocation hearing.

Lucan Shane Johnson, age 42 and Brian Manual Wells, age 40, both of 1138 Red Lamb Road in Melbourne were arrested Saturday on suspicion of theft and other possible charges. They remain in the Izard County Detention Facility on criminal investigative holds pending formal charges.
