Larry Joe Herring, age 35 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested Thursday on a felony failure to appear warrant and two misdemeanor contempt of court warrants. Herring is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $12,325 bond. During a sobriety checkpoint conducted by the Izards Country Sheriff’s Department in Horseshoe Bend resulted in the Friday afternoon arrests of a father and son pair for drinking on the highway. Gerald Duane Patcheck, age 57 and James A. Patcheck, age 32, both of Brockwell were released after each posting a $205 cash bond. A Horseshoe Bend, 53 year-old Keith Ray Varnado was arrested September 10 on the charge of harassing communications. Varnado posted bond Thursday, given a court date, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility. A Horseshoe Bend failure to pay fines warrant resulted in the arrest Calvin Don Wilson, Jr., age 31 on Thursday. Wilson appeared before District Judge David E. Miller, given a court date, and released Dawn Renee Brewer, age 31 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested September 10 for probation/parole violation and has been committed to the Izard County Detention Facility for a 30 day period. Following a Thursday night incident in Oxford, Daniel W. Taylor, age 34 was arrested on the charge of disorderly conduct. The Oxford resident remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
