MOUNTAIN HOME MAN FACING MULTIPLE CHARGES

 

 CHARLES SHELLEY JACK ALBERT KNIGHT  RICKY SCHULTZ  TANYA TURNER 

 

Charles Shelley, age 30 of County Road 57, Mountain Home was arrested November 16th following a traffic stop near the intersection of highway 56 and 223 near Calico Rock. Shelley was initially charged with driving on a suspended license. During the stop, ASP Trooper Richard Pickers recovered a glass smoking device containing white powdery residue, a small clear plastic baggie containing a white crystalline substance that field tested positive as crystal methamphetamine. Shelley was charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, a class “d” felony; use or possession with the purpose to sue paraphernalia, a class “d” felony; and use or possession with the purpose to use paraphernalia with the purpose to manufacture methamphetamine, a class “b” felony.  Sheriff Tate Lawrence said the arrest and charges were a collective effort of the Arkansas State Police, the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force, and the Izard County Sheriff’s Department. Shelley is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $25,000 bond. Shelley is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on December 12.

Jack Albert Knight, Jr., age 51 of Melbourne was arrested was arrested    following an incident in Searcy at which time he was on a suspended sentence from Izard County Circuit Court. Sheriff Lawrence said that records indicate that earlier this month Knight was arrested in White County on charging to include possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia with driving while intoxicated (drugs) charges pending.  In late October records also indicate that Knight was arrested in White County on charges to include resisting arrest and tampering with physical evidence. The sheriff said that earlier the day of Knight’s Izard County arrest, he was arrested in Stone County a warrant at which time Izard County placed a hold on him and later transported him to the Izard County Detention where he remains on contempt of court charges.

Ricky Lee Schiltz, age 52 of Lakeview Road, near Zion was arrested November 21 of a felony failure to appear warrant and is being held pending addtional pending charges and a hold by the Arkansas Department of Correction.

In other activity, Tanya Turner, age 44 of Melbourne has once again, November 19, 2013, been charged by the Izard County Sheriff’s Department.  This time Turner has been charged with breaking or entering, a class “d” felony; theft of property, a class “d” felony; and theft of property, a class “a’ misdemeanor. While visiting a residence in Brockwell, Turner is accused of entering a vehicle that was on the premises and taking $250 in cash, a wallet, social security cards, and driver’s license. Some $220 was recovered from Tuner.  District Judge David E. Miller set bond for Tuner at $10,000. Turner remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of the bond amount.

Following a motor vehicle accident around 4:00 a.m. November 17 near the intersection of state highway 9 and Knob Creek Road, Lance DeWayne Smith, age 21 of Jumbo Road, Melbourne was arrested on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Smith posted a $1,000 cash bond the day of his arrested and was released with a court date from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Brian Scott Wilson, age 32 of Batesville was arrested November 19 on the charge of driving on a revoked license and obstructing governmental operations. Wilson posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $1,455 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a court date.

Cameron Thomas Smires, age 18 of 5282 Arkansas Highway 58, Sidney was arrested November 20 for filing a false report with a law enforcement agency. Smires called the Izard County Sheriff’s Department that day and reported that he had just been beaten by his father and that the father had left the residence where both reside. . When deputies arrived he told the deputies that he was just joking and that his father had not beaten him. Smires thought his prank was funny and even laughing about it until he was placed under arrest for filing a false report. Smires appeared before District Judge David E. Miller on November 21 and was released with a court date.

Waylon Wendell Withrow, age 31 of Main Street, Calico Rock was arrested November 21, about six hours after being released from the Izard County Detention Facility, on the charge of domestic battery third degree. Withrow is accused, while he and his wife were driving to Mountain Home and during an argument, , of grabbing the complainant by the hair and by the face, shaking her head, and punching her in the lower thigh area of her leg. Withrow appeared before Judge David E. Miller, given a December 12 court date, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Jeremy Darrell Coleman, age 32 of 334 Oak Street, Melbourne was arrested November 21 on an Izard County Circuit Court contempt   warrant. Coleman is accused of not paying a circuit court fine in the amount of $1,522. Coleman remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Rebecca Denise Dockins, age 42 of Melbourne was sentenced November 18  to a 42 day commitment in the Izard County Detention Facility as the result of Drug Court infractions including testing positive for a controlled substance.

Ronnie Lynn Mooney, age 58 of Calico Rock was arrested Sunday following an alteration at his residence on Fourth Street, Calico Rock. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said Mooney is accused of pointing a pistol and threatening the life of his previous female companion and her boyfriend. The female and boyfriend were apparently sharing the residence with Mooney who did not want them there. Sergeant Gabe Sanders removed the two from the property and told them they would be arrested for criminal trespass should they return. Mooney was released from the Izard County Detention Facility by District Judge David E. Miller with a December 123 court date.

Another Calico Rock man, Carl Edwin Bartlett, age 62 of Pepper Sauce Alley was arrested November 21 on a failure to appear warrant. Bartlett posted a cash bond the following day in the amount of $100, given a court date of December 12, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Jessie Ray Brock, age 32 of Calico Rock was arrested November 20 on an Izard County failure to pay fines warrant and is currently being held in lieu of $2240 cash bond.

Billy Kirker, age 36 of Newark was arrested November 21 on an Izard County failure to pay fines warrant. Kirker is being held on a $595 cash bond.

 

Matthew Charles Guyer, age 26 of 1204 Hawk Lane, Horseshoe Bend was arrested November 17 on a Ravenden warrant of failure to appear and driving without license. Ravenden authorities picked up Guyer the following day.

Freddie H. Johnston, age 30 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested November 19 on an Izard County warrant for failure to appear and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,060 bond.

A Salesville woman, Melissa Ann Storm, age 44 was arrested November 14 o and Izard County failure to appear warrant. Storm appeared before District Judge David E. Miller on November 16, posted a $150 cash bond and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
