An earlier investigative hold arrest following safety checkpoint arrest has resulted in multiple felony drug charges against a Sulphur Rock man. Larry Dean Silas, age 44 was formally charged with five felonies to include possession of meth with the intent to deliver, a class “b” felony; possession with the purpose to use paraphernalia to consume meth, a class “d” felony; possession with the purpose to use drug paraphernalia with the purpose to process, prepare,, test, conceal or store meth, a class “b’ felony; simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms,, a class “y’ felony; and unlawful use of a communications device, a class “c” felony. Silas posted a $25,000 bond on January 13 and given a court date. The formal charges are the collective efforts of the Arkansas State Police, the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force, and the Izard County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputy Phil Story responded January 15 to a Dolph residence following a domestic violence compliant. Treva Shrake, age 54 was arrested following an altercation with her daughter. The daughter reported that her mother had been drinking, starting screaming at her and producing vulgar hand signals. A witness said that Shrake hit the daughter in the forehead. Another witness said that she observed Shrake hit the daughter in the head. Shrake was charged with domestic battering third degree and taken to the Izard County Detention Facility. Shrake later appeared before District Judge David E. Miller, given a court date and released.
A Horseshoe Bend man was arrested January 16 for driving on a suspended license, having fictitious license plates, and failure to appear. Matthew Sanders, age 24 was released with a court date after posting a $1,175 bond.
Matthew David Bruyette, age 29 of Melbourne was arrested January 18 on a Sharp County warrant accusing him of harassing communications. Bruyette posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $1,300 and was released with a court date.
Lori Lynn Funkhouser, age 42 was Melbourne was arrested, while out on felony bond, on a possession of illegal drug charge. Circuit Judge Tim Weaver revoked Funkhouser’s bond and she remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
Steven Carroll, age 31 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested January 15 for a probation/parole violation is still be held in the Izard County Detention Facility pending a revocation hearing.
Michael Lee Boss, age 34 of Cave City was arrested January 23 on a contempt of court charge and a child support enforcement warrant. Boss is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a contempt bond of $1,750 and a child support bond of $13, 958.
Richard Smith, age 37 of Melbourne was arrested January 15 on an investigative hold and a hold by the Mountain Home Police Department. Smith remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
Jason Troy Eddy, age 38 of Batesville was arrested January 19 on an Independence County warrant. Eddy posted a $1,255 bond a given a January 29 Independence County court date.
Felicia Rene Meeks, age 28 of Mammoth Spring was arrested January 12 on and Independence County warrant. After posting a$385 bond, Meeks was given a court date.
Johnathan Joseph Johnson, age 21 of Harrison was arrested January 13 on a failure to appear warrant. After appearing before District Judge David E. Miller on January 16, Johnson was released with a court date.
Daniel Wayne Dwight, age 24 of Dolph was arrested January 16 on a felony failure to appear warrant relating to theft of property charges. Dwight was released the following day due to a family emergency medical matter.
Austin S. Patterson, age 20 of Evening Shade was arrested January 14 on a probation/parole violation and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a no bond status.
Rebecca Denise Dockins, age 42 of Melbourne was transferred to the Arkansas Department of Correction on January 17.
