Due to this program and other state initiatives, youth prescription drug abuse rates in Arkansas have fallen each of the last three years. More than 41 tons of pills, estimated at 115 million doses have been collected in our state which puts us at #4 in the country in weight collected per capita. For the first time feeding organizations will be set alongside law enforcement officers during this time to collect food for families in need. All the food that is collected will be distributed right back to hungry families in Izard County.
