Jerry Dickerson, age 44 of Calico Rock, was formally charged May 20 with possession of methamphetamine, a class “c” felony and possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to package or repackage methamphetamine, a class “b” felony. These charges resulted from a traffic stop. Additionally, Dickerson has also been charged with distribution of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, a class b” felony and distribution in proximity to a certain facility, an unclassified felony.
The additional charges stem from a controlled methamphetamine purchase by undercover operatives at an apartment complex in Calico Rock. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Dickerson provided what was purported to be one half ounce of methamphetamine in exchange for $600. The transaction took place at a location identified as a drug free zone resulting in the proximity charge. Besides the $50,000 bond, Dickerson remains incarcerated on a parole/probation hold.
