HORSESHOE BEND COUPLE ARRESTED ON THEFT CHARGES

A Horseshoe Bend couple was July 8 on multiple theft of property charges. The allegations are that while employed at the Eagles Club they wrote checks to the club and then stopped payment on the checks. Blake L. Lawrence, age 30 is accused of writing three such checks while his 24 year old wife, Heather Lawrence, is accused of writing six checks. They each posted a cash bond the day of their arrest in the amounts of $1000 and $2000.

In another Horseshoe Bend arrest, Jamie Dale Jessop, age 36 of St. Louis was arrested Saturday for operating a motorboat while being intoxicated. Jessop posted bond the following day in the amount of $610 and was given a court date of August 15.

In another alcohol related arrest, Joshua D. Jones, age 32 of Melbourne was arrested Saturday on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Jones posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,000, released and given a court date of July 17.

Justin Dean Wallace, age 33 of Mountain Bert was arrested June 30 on several charges, some felonies and some misdemeanors, including criminal use of a prohibited weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a defaced firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft by receiving. Wallace remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond.

Clayton Doyle Henderson, age 32 of Oxford was arrested July 7 on two felony aggravated assault charge. Henderson posted bond that same day in the amount of $10,000 and given a court date.

Alcohol resulted in the arrest of Tracey Lynn Alex Saturday night. Alex, age 44 of Oxford was charged with public intoxication. The arrest followed a call to the Horton residence at 156 Parker Lane in that town. Apparently an altercation occurred earlier at that residence involving Alex and a juvenile female. The juvenile was issued a citation for battery third degree and given a court date in Izard County Juvenile Court. The incidence at the Horton residence continues to be investigated. Meanwhile, Alex remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on an investigative hold.

Rachel Lynn Partee, age 30 of Oxford was arrested July 7 for public intoxication after being released July 3 after posting bond charges on similar charges. Partee remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Garrett Buster Campbell, address unavailable, age19 was arrested July 6 on drug related felony charges all delivery of different controlled substance.  Campbell posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $20,000 and given an August 4 circuit court date.

Christinia Ann Copes, age 30 of Oxford was arrested July 4 on hot check warrants.  Copes posted bond July 7 in the amount of $150 cash, released from the Izard County Detention Facility and given an August 7 court date.

Jeffrey Allen Beck, age 53 of Mountain Home was arrested July 7 for drug related charges including possession of an instrument of crime, possession of a schedule VI controlled substance. Beck was also charged with reckless driving. A bond in the amount of $2,490 was posted the day of his arrest and a July 17 court date was issued.

Charles Booth, age 31 of Calico Rock was arrested July 10 on charges of public intoxication, possession of marijuana, and possession of an instrument of crime. Booth remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $2,500 cash bond.

Theft of property and domestic battering charges were brought against Brandi Jo Withrow of Calico Rock on July 10. Thirty year old Withrow appeared before District Judge David E. Miller the day of her arrest when she was released with an August 7 court date.

Sherry Lynn Brown, age 48 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested July 1 on charges of criminal impersonation and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown posted bond July 3 in the amount $1,000, was released from the Izard County Detention Facility and issued a court date.

The charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle was brought against Joshua Nathan Cagle on July 3. Twenty eight year old Cagle of Calico Rock was released after paying $70 and given a September 28 court date.

Charles Anthony Clements, age 30 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested July 1 on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Clements posted bond the day of arrest in the amount of $605 and given a Horseshoe Bend court date of August 5.

Ashley Lynn Fengel, age 19 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested July 3 on the charge of criminal trespass. Fengel appeared before Judge Jim Short the day of her arrest, released from the Izard County Detention Facility and given a court date.

A Mountain Home man, Lawrence Jones, age 27 was arrested June 30 on the charge of criminal mischief. The following day, Jones posted bond in the amount of $605 and given a July 10 court date.

Courtney Keathley, age 19 of Melbourne was arrested July 3 on the charge of assault second degree. Keathley posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $1,000 and given an August 12 court date.

Dean Carter Rains, age 19 was arrested June 29 in Horseshoe Bend on charges of driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and failure to stop or yield. Rains was later released after posting a $605 bond a given a court date.

Anthony Enrique Padillo, age 22 of Melbourne was arrested June 29 on warrants of failure to appear, operation of a vehicle without plates, and for having no insurance. Padillo was released to Sharp County authorities on July 11 to answer charges in that county.

Codi Schales, age 21 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested July 3 on a probation/parole violation and is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility awaiting placement in the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Jacob Hooper, age 31 of Batesville was arrested July 2 for felony contempt of court and is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility on a no bond status.

Richard Thomas Brown, age 56 was arrested July 3 for felony criminal contempt of court. Brown of Pineville was released July 2 after posting a $5,000 bond only to be re-arrested July 3 on driving while intoxicated charges. Brown remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a no bond status.

Tanya Leanne Staton, age 39 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested July 2 on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to obtain an Arkansas drivers license. Staton posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $745, released from the Izard County Detention Facility and given a Horseshoe Bend court date.

Waylon Wendell Withrow, age 31 of Calico Rock was arrested June 29 on the charge of driving on a suspended license. Withrow posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $350, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a court date.

Ashley Mae Nicole Laxton-Jones, age 27 of Melbourne was arrested July 2 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Laxton-Jones posted bond July 3 in the amount of $300 and issued a court date.

David Crider, age 24 of Oxford was arrested July1 on probation/parole violation and is currently being held in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond.

Danny William Brown, age 54 of Bella Vista was committed to the Izard County Detention Facility July 10 to serve a 30 day commitment order by District Judge David E. Miller.

Three inmates of the Izard County Detention were recently transported to the Arkansas Department of Correction. Shannon Edwards, age 35 of Oxford was transported July 11; Rebecca Denise Dockins, age 42 of Melbourne was transported July 10; and Christopher Frey, Jr., age 21 of Brockwell was transported July 3.
