CALICO ROCK MAN FORMALLY CHARGED

Justin Allen Janson, age 29 of Calico Rock was formally charged July 21 from an earlier arrest for felony possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance-marijuana..  Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that when Janson was being arrested July 18 on a failure to pay fines warrant, the illegal substances were located on his person. Janson posted bond July 22 in the amount of $5,000 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a circuit court date. These charges were the cooperative efforts of the Izard County Sheriff’s Department and the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force.

Jared Branscum, age 32 of Pineville was arrested Friday on a felony theft of property warrant out of Missouri. Branscum posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $50,000, released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a Missouri court date.

A Horseshoe Bend man, Brandon Lee Chrisco was arrested Thursday for failure to stop/yield and for possession of marijuana. The eighteen year old posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $1,215, was given a September 9 court date in Horseshoe Bend, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Another Horseshoe Bend man, William Blackley was arrested July 22 on two counts of possessing a controlled substance without having a prescription. Blackley posted a $2,460 bond on July 24, and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with an August 5 court date.

A felony warrant arrest was made in Horseshoe Bend on July 22 involving Phillip Michael Barnes. The thirty seven year old is being held for Missouri authorities without bond pending extradition to that state.

Tracey Lynn Alex, age 44 of Oxford was arrested Saturday afternoon on the charge of domestic battering third degree. Alex remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a no bond status. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Alex has frequented the Izard County Detention Facility almost weekly for the past several weeks. Prior to this arrest, Alex was released from the facility five days prior.

Following a disturbance Thursday at a Calico Rock restaurant, Terry A. Ford, age 65 was arrested on the charge of disorderly conduct. Ford, from Snellville, Georgia is accused of making rude and threatening remarks to customers of the restaurant. Ford posted a $205 bond the day of his arrest and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a September 4 court date.

Cortney Lynn Jennings, age 35 of Wideman was arrested July 21 on a bond revocation. Jennings is being held without bond for an August 4 circuit court date.

Maurice Moser, age 22 of Mt. Pleasant was arrested Friday for violating a no contact order and is being held without bond for an August 7 court date.

Melissa Ann Storm, age 44 of Yellville was arrested Friday on a failure to pay fines warrant. Storm posted a $200 bond the following day and given a court date.

Lindsey Michelle Carter, age 20 of Melbourne, who had been incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Facility since September 2013, was transported Friday to the Arkansas Department of Correction. Her sentence stems from several felony drug charges.
