HOT CHECKS IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,851.00

Blake Grant Lawrence, age 31 of Horseshoe Bend turned himself in to the sheriff’s office in response to a hot check warrant that had been issued against him. It is alleged that Lawrence wrote checks to the Eagles Club in Horseshoe Bend been totaling $1, 045. Lawrence posted a cash bond in that amount and was released with an October 23 court date.  Heather Lawrence, age 31, the wife of Blake has an outstanding hot check warrant totaling $5, 806 for checks also written to the Eagles Club. Having failed to turn herself in this past Friday as she agreed, she will be arrested and be required to post a cash bond in the amount of the checks.

Kathy Jean Rogers, age 54 of Cave City was arrested October 1 on the charge of shoplifting. Rogers is accused of stealing items from the Sonshine Store in Melbourne. Rogers was arrested on the scene. Rogers posted bond October 3 in the amount of $500 cash and given a court date of October 23.

Earnest Ray Trent, age 48 of Paragould was arrested Saturday on the charge of public intoxication. Trent was a passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident on highway 9 north and fled the scene. After giving a description, Investigator Charlie Melton arrested Trent as he walking south of the accident scene. Trent remains is the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $235 bond.

Monica Faye Hobbs, age 23 of the J Bar J area was arrested Saturday on a violation of Arkansas Hot Check Law. Hobbs was released from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting bond in the amount of $193. Hobbs was given a Horseshoe Bend court date of November 4.

Timothy Lee Stetka, age 23 of Calico Rock was arrested Saturday on charges of driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Stetka remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a bond status.

Walter Jay Ball, Jr., age 48 of the J Bar J area was arrested Saturday on a misdemeanor failure to appear. Ball remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $750 bond.

Terri Lynn Heikes, age 51 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested Sunday on a misdemeanor failure to appear and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $300 cash bond.

Shawn Douglas Baker, age 19 of Franklin was arrested Saturday on charges of no driver’s license, and two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia. Baker remains incarcerated in lieu of $2,565 bond.

Jason Troy Eddy, age 39 of Batesville was arrested October 3 on a violation of Arkansas Hot check Law warrant. Eddy posted a cash bond in the amount of $202 the day of his arrested and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Leon Blake Kelley, age 48 of Batesville was arrested October 3 on a felony failure to appear warrant. Kelley remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bond.

Sierra Mercedes Williams, age 23 of Cave City was arrested October 3 on a failure to appear warrant stemming from original charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and fleeing on foot. Williams remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a $2,000 cash bond.

A Salem man, Joshua E. Wrestler, age 28 was arrested Saturday on charges of failure to yield, driving on a suspended license, and operating motor vehicle without insurance. Wrestler was released from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a $250 cash bond. Wrestler is scheduled to appear in Horseshoe Bend Court on October 7.
