Following a lengthy investigation, a search warrant executed Friday by members of the 16th Juridical District Drug Task Force and the Izard County Sheriff’s Department resulted in the arrest of three of residence’s five occupants. The search warrant was directed to the mobile home located at 1211 West Ride Circle in Horseshoe Bend. Tanya Leanne Stanton, age 39 of that address was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Stanton remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bond. Another occupant of the address, Billy Gene Ward, age 36, who told officers that he had recently been released from jail in another jurisdiction and who is on state probation, was arrested and placed on a probation/parole hold was well as an Izard County hold remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond. Leigh Shannon Pittman, age 35 who was present in the residence was arrested on two Izard County hot check charges. Pittman posted a $437 bond the day of her arrest, was released, and given a November 11 Horseshoe Bend court date. Further charges are pending.
A Horseshoe Bend woman was arrested following an incident with her mother at a residence at 1316 Edge Water Road. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that Stacy Alberson and her mother got into an argument and she grabbed the mother’s oxygen cord, stepped on it causing her supply of oxygen to be cut off. She then jerked the cord from her mother’s hand leaving marks on the mother’s hand. Alberson, who was charged with domestic battery third degree posted bond in the amount of $300, was released and given a court date.
Justin Dow Barnes, age 30 of Mt. Pleasant was arrested Thursday and placed on an investigative hold and a hold from the department of probation and parole. Barnes remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a no bond status.
Dennis Paul Lawton, age 49 of Norfolk, was arrested October 22 on a felony criminal contempt of court charge stemming from his positive drug test. Lawton remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond and is scheduled to appear in circuit court on November 17.
Heather Michelle Upton, age 37 of Wideman was jailed October 21 on a Izard County Drug Court commitment order and ordered to remain in the Izard County Detention Facility for ten days.
Tisha Juanita Tankersley, age 43 of Franklin was arrested Friday on the charge of driving on a suspended license. Tankersley posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $380, released from jail and given a November 4 Horseshoe Bend court date.
Christopher John Frey, age 48 of Brockwell was arrested October 21 on the charge of domestic battery third degree. Frey apparently got into an argument with his son and the situation escalated into a physical altercation. Frey appeared before District Judge David E. Miller, was released and given a court date.
Allen Winemiller, age 30 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested October 20 on charges of driving on a suspended license and operating an unsafe vehicle. Winemiller posted bond October 22, released from the Izard County Detention Facility and given a Horseshoe Bend court date.
Charles Handford Branch, age 29 of Oxford was arrested October 22 on the charge of driving on a suspended license. Branch posted a $380 bond the following day, released and given a Horseshoe Bend court date of December 9.
