A stabbing incident north of Calico Rock Monday night has resulted in the hospitalization of the victim. According to initial reports Noel Gene Loosey, age 53 and his nephew, Kenny Vandrimmelen, age 33 got into an argument when Loosey became irate with his mother. During the alteration between the two, Vandrimmelen was stabbed with what is believed to be a straight blade knife. Vandrimmelen was taken to a Mtn. Home hospital. Sheriff Lawrence said charges against Loosey, who is still at large, are being prepared. Vandrimmelen’s condition is not known by the Izard County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Lawrence said the area where the stabbing occurred, commonly known as the Loosey Compound, has been the scene of frequent family altercations over the years.
