FELONY FAILURE TO APPEAR ARRESTED

Tammy Martinez, age 38 of Norfolk, who was earlier arrested in connection with forgery and theft at two Melbourne businesses, failed to appear in circuit court and was later arrested.  Sheriff Tate Lawrence said Martinez remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bond. Martinez faces similar charges in Marion County.

Around eight o’clock Sunday night, Deputies Ed Sollock and Matt Yancey were dispatched to a Pineville residence in response to a reported domestic violence situation. Upon arrival Teresa Foster complained that she and her husband starting arguing and that he choked her and threatened to kill her. Inside the house Ricky Foster was arrested and charged with domestic battery third degree. Foster, age 54 of 748 Foster Lane remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending an initial appearance before District Judge David E. Miller.

Deputy Jason Jordon while walking around Saturday afternoon in the Dollar General Store in Horseshoe Bend, Jordon heard a noise as if someone was placing bags of something in their pockets.  According to Sheriff Lawrence,  James Howard Smith paid for a bottle of Gatorade and exited the store. A short time later Jordon stopped the vehicle Smith was driving and noticed two bags of candy on the passenger seat and another bag protruding from his coat pocket . Smith was then asked to empty all of his pockets where other bags of candy were found. A cash register check revealed that the candy had come from the store but had not been paid for. Smith age 69 of 1207 Clark Lane was charged with shoplifting and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Jack Anthony Ludlow, age 51 of Batesville was arrested Saturday on a failure to pay fines warrant. Ludlow remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

 

Jacob Raymond Frey, age 25 of Melbourne was sentenced Thursday in Izard County District Court to one year in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Antwuane Deshawn McCuien, age 20 of Brockwell was arrested November 20 on a theft of property charge. McCuien was released the day of his arrest on the same bond he was previously released on.

Tina Marie Erwin, age 40 of Williford was arrested November 19 on a hot check warrant. Erwin was released on Izard County charges and transferred to Sharp County.

Tanya Stanton, age 39 of Horseshoe Bend appeared in Izard County Circuit Court and tested positive for multiple drugs. Stanton was jailed on a no bond status until the next scheduled court date.

Nicolas Tejeda Solano, age 43 of Siloam Springs was arrested November 20 for having no drivers license. Solano posted a $355 cash bond the day of his arrest and was released with a court date.

Richard Thomas Brown, age 56 of Calico Rock was arrested Thursday after being released from the Izard County Detention where he had been held since July 2014. Brown was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a vehicle without plates, no driver’s license, and no insurance. Brown is being held without bond.

Jerry Thomas Dickerson, age 44 of Horseshoe Bend who has numerous drug trafficking charges has been transferred to the custody of the U.S. Marshall Service as the charges were filed in federal court.
