An investigation into the theft of gold coins from an unoccupied home near Pineville has resulted in the March 9 arrest of Carl Marentette. Marentette was charged with theft by receiving, a class “c” felony. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said Marentette posted bond in the amount of $20,000, released from the Izard County Detention Facility and given a March 17 circuit court date.
Neka Marie Parker, age 24 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested March 10 on charges of theft of property and criminal trespass. Parker is accused of entering on the property of another and taking items from a storage building Parker was released the day of arrest, and given a March 26 court date.
Richard David Vanhorn, age 59 of Melbourne was arrested March 9 on the felony charge of aggravated assault. Vanhorn is accused to pulling a gun on two teenage boys. Vanhorn posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $5,000, released from the Izard County Detention Facility, and given a March 17 circuit court date.
Roy Henry, age 43 of Mt. Pleasant was arrested March 9 on the charge of domestic battery third degree. Henry is accused of striking his daughter. Henry appeared in Izard County District Court on Thursday where the charge was held under advisement.
Larry Thomas Kelly, age 42 of Batesville was arrested March 11 for non-child support. Kelly remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $12,618 bond.
Marty Sexton, age 38 of Calico Rock was arrested March 9 on the charge of criminal mischief after he was accused of shooting an air rifle at fa neighbor’s house. Sexton remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $250 cash bond.
Jordon Meadows, age 23 of Calico Rock was arrested Saturday night on the charge of domestic battery. Upon arrival of deputies, Meadows advised Sgt. Gabe Sanders that he and a female got into an argument that escalated into a physical altercation. Meadows is accused to throwing the female victim down over a recliner and them stomping her in the chest area.
Nathaniel Walter Kurowicki, age 28 of Mountain Home was arrested March 9 on Missouri felony warrant. Kurowicki remains in the Izard County Detention Facility awaiting extradition to Missouri.
Joseph Lynn Lyons, age 30of Batesville who had been in the Izard County Detention Facility awaiting prison bed space since November 2014 was transported to the Arkansas Department of Correction on March 3.
