A one vehicle accident    in Horseshoe Bend April 11 just after midnight resulted in the arrest of the driver who identified himself as Patrick Sheedy, age 33 of Ash Flat. Sheedy was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving on a suspended license, operating a vehicle without license plates, and having no insurance. During the bonding process on April 14, it was determined that the arrestee could possibly be someone other than Patrick Sheedy.  After a brief investigation, it was further determined that the individual was actually Jason Matthew Sheedy, Patrick Sheedy‘s brother. And that Jason Sheedy had warrants from other counties. “Sheedy was then additionally charged with criminal impersonation and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu in $2,115 bond.

A traffic stop Saturday night in Horseshoe Bend resulted in instrument of crime charge by Deputy Toby Smith assisted by K-9 /Deputy Jason Jordan.  The vehicle passenger, Jenelle Linita Lute, age 54 of Franklin was found to have a needle fall to ground by her feet. It appeared that the needle had been used numerous times as the numbers were worn off of the plastic container. A drug test conducted during booking into the Izard County Detention Facility indicated a presence of oxycodone, meth, marijuana, and opiates in her system. Lute posted bond April 15 and was released with a May 5 court date.

Shane Alan Butgereit, age 51 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested Friday in Horseshoe Bend for driving on a suspended license. Butgereit posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of 4350, released from the Izard County Detention Facility and issued a   May 5 court date.

Dustin Taylor Birchett, age 19 of Hot Springs was arrested April 7 on a failure to fines warrant. Birchett remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $600 cash bond.

Kristy Renee Goodson, age 34 of Gorby Road, Calico Rock was arrested April 12 on the charge of domestic battery third degree. According to Deputy Ed Sollock’s report. Goodson and her husband got into argument which escalated into a physical altercation where the husband was assaulted and punched several times. Goodson posted bond the day of her arrest and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with an April 23 court date.

Laura Jeanne Nelson, age 47 of Melbourne was arrested Saturday night on charges of public intoxication-drugs and possession of a controlled substance. Nelson remains in the Izard County Detention Facility with a bond of $1,435.

Carrie Ann Worsham, age 47 of Salem was arrested April 11 on a failure to appear warrant. After being jailed for seven days, Worsham appeared before District Judge David E. Miller who released her with a May 5 Horseshoe Bend court date.

Claude Arthur Rouse, age 52 of Salem was jailed on a probation/parole hold and remains in jail without bond.
