PAUL DOBSON DANNY MULLINS
A traffic stop in Horseshoe Bend on April 14 resulted in the arrest of the driver and passenger. Driver David Bell and passenger Paul Edward Dobson were initially arrested on the suspicion of drug possession after Deputy Michael Smith located methamphetamine and hydromorphone in a small container inside a bag of dog food. After Dobson later admitted that the controlled substances belonged to him, he was charged with possession of a controlled substance, - two counts, and each class “d” felonies. Dobson age 58 of Hardy post bond April 14 in the amount of $5,000 and was released with a circuit court date. Bell, age 43 of Salem is in jail on charges of fictitious auto license plates and failing to pay registration with a bond of $560.
Following the execution of a search warrant in Horseshoe Bend, Danny Carl Mullins, age 33 of 1301 N. Bend Drive was charged April 15 with felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. Mullins remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
The night of April 14, Charles Wade Hilliker, age 24 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested on the charge of driving while intoxicated following a vehicle accident Hilliker was later released to obtain medical services and given a Horseshoe Bend court date of May 5.
Michael Joseph Kelly, II was arrested Sunday on the charge of public intoxication and remains jailed in lieu of $205 bond. Kelly, age 26 of Franklin has a Horseshoe Bend scheduled court date of May 5.
Chase Loosey, age 22 of Norfork was arrested April 15 on warrants for failure to appear and failure to pay fines. Loosey remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,540 bond.
Barbara Leeann Baty, age 44 of Brockwell was arrested April16 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Baty appeared before District Judge David E. miller the day of her arrested and was release with an April 23 court date.
Three drug court participants were committed to the Izard County Detention Facility April 14 for violation of drug court requirements. Serving a 14 day sentences are Kimberly Ann Martin, age 48 of Gepp; and Barbara Jean James, age 51 of Salem. Both were later transferred to the Fulton County Jail. Marion Eugene Berry, age 59 of Franklin is serving a 7 day commitment.
Melissa Jean Casey, age 35 of Ash Flat was jailed April 13 on a probation/parole hold and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond.
Billy Dewayne Turner, age 43 of Melbourne was arrested Saturday after a compliant that Turner was beating on their door and would not leave. Turner posted bond the day of his arrest in amount of $205, released from the Izard County Detention Facility and given a May 5 court date.
John Deckard, age 34 of Hardy was arrested April 17 and placed on a probation/parole hold without bond.
