James Henry Howell, age 49 of Viola was arrested April 28 for fleeing both on foot and in a vehicle along with that of an Arkansas Department of Community Corrections  absconder warrant. According to Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence, Howell has been in the criminal justice system for many years and is a frequent absconder. Howell remains in jail without bond.

Jason William Davidson, age 36 of Batesville was arrested Thursday on a theft charge stemming from his taking of an automobile. Initial charge was that of unauthorized use but these charges were later upgraded to theft. Davison also faces charges as a result of his conduct in the Izard County Detention Facility. Davidson remains incarcerated in lieu of a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit on May 5.

Ian McClary Woody, age 24 of Gainsville, Missouri was arrested  Thursday night on the charge knowingly provided alcohol to a minor, defective lights, and later charged with four drug related felonies. To include possession of heroin, possession of hydrocodone, possession of drug paraphernalia, all class “d” felonies and possession of a narcotic drug outside the container, an unclassified felony Woody posted bond Friday in the amount of $10,000 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a June18 court date. A passenger in Woody’s vehicle, Sierra Nicole Hoornstra, age 20 of Tecumseh, Missouri was arrested and charged with public intoxication. Hoornstra was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the following day and issued a June 18 court date.

Another Missouri woman, forty year old Brenda Sisk of Willard was arrested Thursday on the charge of public intoxication. Sisk remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $205 bond.

Aven Ricky Taylor, Jr., age 44 of Sage was arrested Sunday on a Saline County warrant and is being held for pickup by Saline County authorities.

A Mabelvale woman, 28 year old Hannah Abigal Logan was arrested Saturday on charges of public intoxication and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $440 bond.

James Lawrence Frey, age 23 of Melbourne jailed on contempt of court charges after testing positive for a controlled substance and remains in jail without bond.

Tara Denise Woody, age 24 of Calico Rock was arrested Thursday on three counts of possession of a controlled substance. Woody was released the following day after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller. Woody’s court date is May 5.

Donald Ray Woodcock, age 57 of Mountain View was arrested Thursday on the charge of disorderly conduct and public intoxication following a compliant that a white male in Calico Rock was causing a disturbance.  Woodcock admitted to having been to the complainant’s residence.  During a pat down incident to the arrest a prescription bottle containing a crystalline substance suspected of being methamphetamine was located in Woodcock’s waist band. With the assistance of the 16th Judicial District Task Force, Woodcock was formally charged with possession of a controlled substance-meth, a class “d” felony and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class “b” felony. Woodcock was released from jail on Friday and given a May 11 Izard County Circuit Court date after posting a $10,000 bond,

Forty eight year old Robbie May Caldwell of Brockwell was arrested April 28 on the charge of violating Arkansas hot check law-first offense. Caldwell appeared before District Judge David E. Miler the day of her arrest, was released, and given a May 7 court date.

Austin Keith Stracener, age 28 of Melbourne was arrested April 25 was arrested on a failure to pay fines warrant. Stracener posted bond the following day in the amount of $520 bond, released, and given a May 7 court date.

Lawrence Marshall Jones, age 28 of Mountain Home was arrested April 26 on a failure to appear warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bond.

Jennifer Dawn Elliott, age 36 of Mountain Home was arrested Friday on a failure to pay fines warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $1,015  cash bond.

Stephen Cagle, age 33 of Melbourne was arrested April 29 on Baxter County warrant. Cagle posted bond the day of his arrested in the amount of $350, released from the Izard County Detention Facility and given a May 14 Baxter County court date.

Two Izard County Detention inmates were transported Thursday to the Arkansas Department of Correction. Zack Warren Drake age 34 of Batesville and Darren Lee Norman, age 30 of Salem were transported. Norman also faces Izard County charges upon his release from prison.
