MOTHER DAUGHTER CHARGES UPGRADED

The charges against mother Julie Farris and daughter Susan Farris, both charged with misdemeanor domestic battery following an April 19 incident where both were accused of assaulting Michael Farris at their Foster Lane home in Calico Rock. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said after further review of a recording  capturing the event, charges against  both were upgraded to  domestic battery second degree, a class “c” felony. Julie Farris, age 50 and an employee of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission in Calico Rock, and Susan Farris, age 26 are now scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on June 22.

A Mount Pleasant man, Jared Daniel Gealsin, age 32 was arrested Saturday afternoon following a compliant of domestic battery against his wife. Gealsin appeared before District Judge David Miller on Sunday and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility and issued a May 21 court date.

Devlin Bookout , age 43 of Horseshoe Bend  was arrested early Saturday morning on charges to include driving while intoxicated-second offense, disorderly conduct, driving left of center, refusal to submit to a chemical test, driving with a suspended license, providing false evidence of title, having no liability insurance, and seat belt not used. Bookout remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $3,490 bond and a hold from Craighead County. Bookout’s is scheduled to appear in Horseshoe Bend court on June 16.

Keith Ray Varando, age 55 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested Friday on charges of driving on a suspended license failure to use a seatbelt. Varando remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $435 bond with a scheduled Horseshoe Bend court date of June 16.

Caroline Rose Howard, age 36 of Calico Rock was aerated May 5 the charge of disorderly conduct, taken to the Izard County Detention Facility where she was against charged with disorderly conduct. Howard remains in jail awaiting transferee to a mental facility.

Jason William Davidson, age 36 of Batesville who has been in the Izard County Detention Facility on theft of property charges was further charged with criminal mischief first degree and obstructing governmental operations, and attempted assault for conduct while incarcerated. Davidson posted a $5,580 bond and was released from the jail and issued a May 21 district court date and a October 2 circuit court date.

David  Husley, age 34 of Oxford was arrested May 2 on a Fulton Court failure to pay fines warrant were to a driving while intoxicated conviction. Husley was later transported to the Fulton County Jail.

Timothy Martin Carpenter, age 35 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested wee hours of the morning of May 10 after his vehicle was found in the yard of a Horseshoe Bend resident with the engine running and the doors open. Carpenter was later located  walking not too far way. Carpenter was placed on an investigative hold pertaining to the possession of illegal drugs and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Brandon Scott Stanley, age 42 of Pineville was arrested Saturday and he too was placed on a criminal investigative hold relating to controlled substance and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Gabriel Anthony Saenz, age 27 of 1404 Pavilion Lane, Horseshoe Bend was arrested May 7 on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, fleeing, and obstructing governmental operations. Saenz was released later the day of his arrest after posting a $500 cash bond and given a June 16 Horseshoe Bend court date.

Jocelyn Aguiar, age 26 also of 1404 Pavilion Lane, Horseshoe Bend was arrested May 5 on charges of failing to yield, fleeing – two counts, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental operation, and disorderly conduct. Aguiar appeared before District Judge David E. Miller and issued a June 16 Horseshoe Bend court date, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Mark Allen Rogers, age 36 of Batesville was arrested May 7 on a petition to revoke his probation/parole and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond.

Freddy Reynolds, age 57 of Melbourne was arrested Friday on a failure to pay fines and was placed on an investigative hold pertaining to illegal drugs and an Independence County hold. Reynolds remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond.

Randy  Alexander Johnson, age 31 of Mountain Home was arrested May 7on a failure to pay fines warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $450 cash bond.

Chris John Frey, Jr., age 22 of Mountain Home was arrested May 7 on a Baxter County warrant and was released to Baxter authorities after Frey failed to posting a $,1460 cash bond.

Amanda Paige Buck, age 25 of Calico Rock was arrested May 7 on a Cross County warrant and was transferred there after failing to bond in the amount of $1,445.

Michael Bert Haling, age 52 of Oxford was arrested May 6 for driving on a revoked license. Haling was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the day of his arrest after posting a $365 cash bond and given a June 18 court date.

Sheriff Lawrence said Pioneer Day celebration a week ago Friday and Saturday was free of incidents and arrests and was Dogwood Days at Horseshoe Bend this past Saturday
