PATRICK MCNEALY MARK SMITH TYLER HUGENS
Patrick Russell McNealy, age 24 of Guion was recently extradited from Illinois on May 19 in response to an absconder warrant from Izard County Drug Court. McNealy was also arrested on a warrant for domestic battery third degree and commercial burglary. McNealy remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that McNealy is also a person of interest in a sexual related offense.
Mark Eugene Smith who has been incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Facility since January 5th of this year on sexual assault charges now faces additional charges of a sexual nature with underage age children. This additional charges stem from a forensic examination of his personal computer. Bond for the forty three year old man of Mt. Pleasant has been increased to $200,000.
Tyler Paul Hugens, age 31 of Norfork was arrested May 19 on a felony failure to appear warrant from Izard County Circuit Court and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bond.
A Calico Rock man identified as Ronnie James Staggs, age 58 was arrested May 20 on charges to include driving while intoxicated-drugs, fleeing on foot, unlawful operation of a motorcycle, improper use of vehicle registration, failure to have insurance, and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Staggs posted bond May 22 in the amount of $1,000, given a July 23 court date, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Mercedes Anna Marie Martin, age 22 of Melbourne was arrested May 18 on contempt of court charges after failing a test which indicated multiple illegal drugs in her system. Martin remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond.
James LawrenceFrey, age 23 of Brockwell was arrested yet again on May 18 on criminal contempt of court charges. Frey too failed numerous drugs tests while on probation. Frey, who is frequently jailed in Izard County on various criminal charges, remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond.
Felix Gene Castilow, age 65 of Gepp who was early arrested on public intoxication charges appeared in Izard County District Court on Thursday to answer the charge. His charge was not heard however, because Castilow appeared intoxicated and when tested showed to have a high level of alcohol in his system. Judge David E. Miller found Castilow in contempt of court for appearing in an intoxicated condition and sentenced him to ten days in the Izard County Detention Facility where he remains. Castilow court date for the early intoxication charge has been rescheduled.
Phil L Cargal, age 36 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested May 22 on Faulkner County charges and was later released form the Izard County Detention Facility after posting bond in the amounted $635.
Following A May 20 motor vehicle accident at the intersection of highways 9 and 69 in Melbourne, Steve Martin Brewer, age 45 of Gorby Road, Calico Rock was charged with driving while intoxicated. Brewer’s vehicle ran into the porch columns of a building near that location. Martin appeared before District Judge David E. Miller the following day, released on an $820 bond, given a June 18 court date, and released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Walter Jay Ball, age 48 of Violet Hill was arrested May 20 on the charge driving on a suspended license. Ball appeared in Izard County District Court on May 21, given a court date of June 18. Ball has been previously charged with this offense and seems to continue to drive on a suspended license according to Sheriff Tate Lawrence.
