LARRY KING JOSEPH GASTON
Larry Ryan King , age 30 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested August 4 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a call to dispatch that an individual was having a seizure. Upon arrival, King was found in the floor of the living room saying that he was just dehydrated and did not know what was going on. King had apparently destroyed many items in the bedroom of the Horseshoe Bend home. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that King also referenced that his girlfriend was in a half-way house and that they were giving her drugs there. Located in the house were marijuana and an electronic cigarette used to smoke marijuana. King was released later the day of his arrested after posting a $2,370 bond and given a Horseshoe Bend court date of September 15.
A Calico Rock woman, Jana Leann Dickerson, age 45 was arrested August 2 on a petition to revoke probation stemming from original drug related charges. Dickerson is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond until her August 26 circuit court date.
Lawson Wade Herron, age 46 of Franklin was arrested August 6 on charges of domestic battery third degree- two courts. The charges stem from an argument that began with his wife when he got home from work. Lawson is alleged to have grabbed the victim around the throat and face causing a scratch to the corner of her mouth. According to the report, their daughter moved in between the two to protect her mother. Herron was released from the Izard County Detention Facility after making his first appearance on the day of his arrested in Izard County District Court. At the time of his arrest, Lawson tested positive for meth and marijuana.
In another domestic battery arrested, Justin Lee Gobin, age 38 of Calico Rock was charged August 2 after emergency room staff at a Calico Rock hospital advised that a female was there and it was determined that Gobin struck her while she was sleeping. It is alleged that the altercation resulted from Gobin finding nude pictures of people, drugs and drug paraphernalia on the victim’s cell phone who admitted to having used meth recently and has a history of drug use. Gobin was released from the Izard County Detention Facility on August 4 after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller and given a Melbourne court date
Joseph Anthony Gaston, age 31 of Pineville was arrested August 4 on charges of fleeing on foot. Deputy Mark Simino had stopped Gaston to question him about allegation of taking financial advantage of an elderly lady. Gaston exited the vehicle, ran but was subdued in a nearby briar thicket. Gaston was charged in July with obstructing governmental operation and posted an $840 bond. Gaston appeared in Izard County District Court August 6 and pled guilty to the fleeing charge.
Christopher Ross Howell, age 20 of Melbourne was arrested in Horseshoe Bend on August 6 on charges of driving while intoxicated-drugs, reckless driving, and no driver license as the result of a vehicle accident. Howell remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $500 cash bond with a court date scheduled for September 1 in Horseshoe Bend.
Allen Winemiller, age 31 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested August 5 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Winemiller appeared in Izard County District Court August 7 and sentenced to 45 days in jail and to community service.
A Hernando, Mississippi man was arrested August 4 in Horseshoe Bend on a Mississippi warrant. Derrick Jermaine Alexander, age 22 appeared in Izard County district Court on August 7 where he signed extradition papers and is now awaiting transfer to Mississippi.
A Horseshoe Bend pair, Joseph Auburn, age 28 and Jessica Kate Dalton, age 23 were arrested August 6 on Mississippi County, Arkansas warrants a transferred there the day of their arrest.
William Joseph Carter, age 22 of Melbourne was arrested August 6 on a petition to revoke probation/parole warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond pending an August 26 court date.
Cody Curtis, ager 24 of Mt. Pleasant was committed to jail August 6 after appearing in Izard County District Court and was also assigned to community service.
Chasity Dawn Fader, age 39 of Melbourne was arrested August 5 on a child support enforcement warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $4,099 bond.
Two female Izard County inmates who were awaiting bed space in prison was transported August 6 to the Arkansas Department of Correction. These inmates are Beth Ann Dickerson, age 32 of Calico Rock and Melissa Jean Casey, age 35 of Ash Flat.
