08/31/2015 CHARGES FOLLOW GROW OPERATION |

After an August 21 discovery of a sizable indoor marijuana grow operation the result of search warrant executed by the Izard County Sheriff’s Department at an old mobile home owned by Bill Dale Eaton, charges were formalized August 24 against Eaton. The mobile home located near to Eaton’s residence at 4090 West Arkansas Highway 56, Brockwell contained almost 200 plants at various stages of growth. According to Sheriff Tate Lawrence, these charges include possession of marijuana with the purpose to deliver, a class “c” felony; possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to grow marijuana, a class “d” felony; maintaining a drug premise, a class “c” felony; and growing marijuana, a class “c” felony; and assault in the first degree, a class “a” misdemeanor. Eaton posted bond in the amount of $15,000 and released from the Izard County Detention Facility. These charges and arrest were the collective efforts of the Izard County Sheriff’s Department, the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force, and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Eaton has a September 3 scheduled district court date and a circuit court date of February 15.
