David Aaron Koonce, age 32 of Calico Rock was arrested October 16 on a warrant accusing him of stealing an item from the Dollar General Store in Calico Rock on October 13. A clerk at store reported that a white male exited the store carrying a cameo jacket that he did not purchase. The clerk further said that the male had lingered in the store for a considerable amount of time and appeared to be acting strange. A review of the store security video indicated the person to be Koonce who remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $1,000 cash bond. When booked in to jail Koonce tested positive for opiates, marijuana, amphetamines, and meth.
Following a call October 10 to a residence regarding a domestic situation, Lorrie Anne McCarron, age 50 of Boling Green, Kentucky was arrested on the charge of disorderly conduct. McCarron posted bond the following day in the amount of $220, released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a November 12 court date.
Shona Marie Crouch, age 37 of Melbourne was arrested October 16 on the charge of criminal trespass. Crouch posted a $220 cash bond the day of her arrested, was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a court date of December 10.
Kyle Aaron Wegenke, age 20 of Salem was arrested October 10 on the charge of domestic battery third degree. Wegenke was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the following day and given a Horseshoe Bend court date of November 3.
Thomas Vincent Peace, age 17 of Great Falls, Montana who was arrested a few days ago after leading police on a high speed chase and crashing into several vehicles in Melbourne was charged as an adult and transferred from the juvenile center in Batesville to the Izard County Detention Facility. Peace’s charges include fleeing theft by receiving, and criminal mischief. Peace remains in jail in lieu of $5,000 bond. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that after the vehicle crash, Peace bolted on foot into a neighborhood when he was caught. Sheriff Lawrence said he was appreciative of adults Cody Belton, and Adam Jackson along with minors Darrian Woodward, Justin Crain assisting officers in locating Peace.
Michael Ryan Miller, age 42 of Calico Rock was arrested October 10 on charges of domestic battery and disorderly conduct. The charges stem from Miller allegedly drinking all day, tearing up a female’s house and would not leave when asked to do so. During the arrest, Miller was uncooperative and would not comply with officer’s orders until tased.
Friday night a vehicle driven by Tapangha Sierra Furr of Batesville almost collided with a sheriff’s patrol car in Horseshoe Bend. Furr was arrested and charged with reckless driving, possession of an instrument of crime, and driving on a suspended license, Furr later posted bond in the amount of $1,655, released from the Izard County Detention Facility and given a November 12 court date.
Jerald Shane Rogers, age 26 of Sage was arrested October 12 on the charge of driving on a suspended license. Rogers posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $365 and given a December 10 court date.
Ronald Russell Hill, age 48 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested Saturday night on a failure to pay fines warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,074 bond with a November 3 Horseshoe Bend court date.
Caroline Rose Howard, age 36 of Melbourne was arrested October 15 on the charge of disorderly conduct and remains incarcerated awaiting a mental hearing.
William Cody Tillman, age 23 of Jefferson, Arkansas who had been awaiting bed space has been transferred to the Arkansas Department of Correction where he was sentence to two years.
