EDWIN TEEGARDEN SAMANTHA BRANSCUM
A traffic stop Thanksgiving night on Dolph Road resulted in the arrest of the driver and the passenger. Edwin Teegarden, the driver of the dark green pickup truck was charged with driving on a suspended license and is facing felony charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a scheduled VI controlled substance, and possession of a drug paraphernalia. Teegarden, age 43 of Dolph had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of county and was transported to Baxter. The passenger, Samantha Branscum of Dolph is also facing felonies with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Branscum had an outstanding out of county felony warrant and was transported to Stone County. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said multiple drug related items were located in the vehicle. These items include a metal box containing several syringes, a metal spoon, a green colored metal smoking pipe and two small bags one of which contained a crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine and the other a powdery residue. A plastic cigarette package wrapper contained a green leafy substance suspected of being marijuana.
Jeremy Wayne Niederbrach, age 37 of Salem was arrested November 22 for criminal contempt out of court and is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,660 bond. Niederbrach is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on December 4.
Jacob Frey, age 26 of Melbourne was arrested November 22 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and theft by receiving. Frey was released after appearing before Judge Jim Short and is scheduled to appear in court on December 10.
Gerald Eugene Pennington, age 74 of Melbourne was arrested November 20 on the charge of domestic battering third degree following a confrontation with his grown son with a gun involved. Pennington was released the day of his arrest with a no contact order and a court date of December 10.
Blake Alan Dixon, age 24 of Smithville was arrested November 18 on a body attachment warrant with a $6,448 cash bond. Dixon was transferred the following day by White County authorities.
Forrest Harlow Cole, age 61 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested November 16 a failure to appear warrant. Cole remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $250 cash bond. Cole is scheduled to appear in Horseshoe Bend Court on December 8.
Another Horseshoe Bend man. Billy Gene Ward age 37, was arrested November 15 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Ward posted bond November 19 in the amount of $420 cash and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Ward’s scheduled court date is December 10
Richard Alford Magouirk, age 28 of Mt. Pleasant was arrested November 18 for violating conditions of parole/probation. Magourik remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond and is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on a petition to revoke probation December 4.
A female presented herself to the sheriff’s office on November 28 saying she wanted to turn herself in even though there were no charges for her. Caroline Rose Howard, age 36 of Calico Rock. At one point Howard said that she wanted to go to the hospital but when emergency medical personnel arrived she declined medical help and then said she just wanted to go to jail. Deputy Jason Jordan then convinced her to go the Community Medical Center in Calico Rock but while in route she changed her mind about going. Howard was charged with obstructing governmental operations and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending a mental assessment.
Cody Ty McCann, age 25 of Evening Shade was arrested November 27 on a criminal contempt of circuit court warrant and remains in the izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $3,770 bond. A court date for McCann has been set for December 4, 2015.
A Batesville woman, thirty three year old Joni Nicole Jackson was arrested November 23 on a theft by receiving charge. The charge stems from Jackson selling a cell phone on line that had been reported stolen. Jackson posted a $500 cash bond November 25, released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a December 17 court date.
Kevin Tyler Webster, age 29 of Cushman was arrested November 24 on the charge of domestic battery third degree. Sheriff Lawrence said the charge stems from a confrontation at the Mt. Pleasant convenience store. The victim, who was walking his dog, was comforted by Webster who was gassing his vehicle, started call the victim names. Webster is alleged to have thrown rocks at the victim. Webster was released the following day after appearing before Judge Jim Short and given a December 10 court date.
Marroquin Oslendi Figeroa, age 29 of Batesville was arrested November 26 of charges of having no drivers license, and speeding. Figeroa posed bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $365 cash, released from jail, and given a December 17 court date.
Alex Engles, age 21 of Melbourne was arrested November 26 for theft of motor fuel. Engles is alleged to have gotten gas in the amount of $31.87 at a Melbourne convenience store and drove away without paying. Engles was given the opportunity to return to the store and pay for the gas but he did not. Engles posted a $100 cash bond the day of his arrest, was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a December 17 court date.
An Ash Flat woman, Kelly Renee McCord, age 46 was arrested November 24 of a violation of Arkansas Hot Check warrant. McCord posted a $350 cash bond the day of her arrest, was released and given a December 10 court date.
Charles Boothe, age 32 of Melbourne was arrested December 22 on the charge of criminal trespass. Booth remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $220 bond and has a court date of December 10.
Jacob Wayne Heikes, age 29 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested December 20 on a failure to appear in Horseshoe Bend Court. Heikes remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $250 cash bond. Heikes also has a hold from Sharp County.
Shaun Michael Templin, age 21 of Batesville was arrested on a Horseshoe Bend failure to pay fines warrant. Templin remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $550 cash bond with a court date of December 8.
