STEVEN STEWART JASON SHEEDY
Steven Gavin Stewart, age 54 of Mountain View was awaiting bed space at the Arkansas Department of Correction as the result of sentencing in Izard County Circuit. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said Stewart was allowed to remain free until bed space became available but failed to report to the sheriff’s department for transport when told to do so. Consequently, a contempt of court warrant was issued and Stewart was arrested on that warrant. March 10. Stewart remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond.
A domestic situation the morning of March 10 at a residence in Melbourne resulted in the arrest of the two women involved in the altercation. The altercation involved Latrisha Hunt and her daughter, Amanda Banks. According to statements taken at the scene the initial argument was over personal items including pictures that both claimed were theirs. The daughter alleges that her mother poured hot coffee on her and then hit her with the coffee cup while the mother alleges that she was hit by a screw driver. Sheriff Lawrence said Hunt and Banks were transported to the Izard County Detention Facility. Hunt, age 52 of Melbourne and Banks , age 23 of Batesville were released the day of their arrest after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller and given an April 23 court date. Deputy Geoffrey Watt was the arresting officer.
In another domestic situation, Gregory Ward, Jr. age 29 of Wideman was arrested early am on March 11 on the charge of domestic battering third degree. Deputy Evan Jones indicated in his report that he meet a female who identified herself as the wife of Watts and she stated that earlier at their residence the two had argued about Watts being on Facebook communicating with a female. The argument continued and developed into an altercation. The arrest report stated that Ward smelled of alcohol. Ward was transported to the Izard CountyDetentionFacility with an April 21 court date.
Jason Matthew Sheedy, age 34 of Marshfield, Missouri was arrested March 9 on charges of felony failure to appear in Izard County Circuit court. Sheedy remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a$10,000 cash bond. Sheedy has a scheduled court date of March 21. Deputy Evan Jones was the arresting officer.
Following a traffic accident around 1:00 am Wednesday, Sarah A. Tipton, age 20 of Melbourne was arrested leaving the scene of an accident, fleeing in a vehicle, underage driving under the influence, possession of intoxication liquor by a minor, and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Tipton was released later the day of her arrest into the custody of her father and issued a court date of April 28. Deputy Evan Jones was the arresting officer.
Joshua Dean Thomas, age 38 of Draco was arrested March 8 on charges from Perry County. Thomas was transported to Perry County the day of his arrest.
Debra A. Vester, age 60 was arrested March 8 on Stone County charges and was transported to Mountain View day of her arrest.
Brenton Nichols Needle, age 29 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested March 7 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication. Needle remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $1,470 bond and has a Horseshoe Bend court date of April 5. Deputy R. C. Lenex was the arresting officer.
David Michael Balderston, age 45 of Ash Flat was arrested March 8 by Deputy Jayden Whitfield on a Fulton Court warrant and was picked up the day of his arrested and transported to Salem.
Nacona Amber Kinkead, age 33 of Pineville was arrested March 11 on a warrant accusing her of harassing communications. Kinkead posted a cash bond of $200 the day of her arrest and was releasedfrom the Izard County Detention Facility. ASP Trooper Rodney Villager was the arresting officer.
Shelby Lynne Johnson, age 24 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested March 10 on the charge of domestic battering third degree and terroristic threatening. The charges relate to an altercation between Johnson and a family member. Bond for Johnson has been set at $1,000 cash which she posted on March 11 with a Horseshoe Bend court date of April 5.
Joseph Cruz, age 32 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested March 11 on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Cruz posted and $820 bond the following day and released from the Izard County Detention Facility with an April 5 Horseshoe Bend court date.
Uriah Alexander Robinson, age 28 of Camp was committed to the Izard County Detention Facility following his appearance in drug court. Robinson will remain incarcerated for a seven day period.
Nicholas Benjamin Speak, age 37 of Calico Rock was arrested March 10 on a failure to pay fines warrant out of circuit court. Speak was released the day of his arrest and given a circuit court date of March 21
Anna Marie Stiles, age 29 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested March 7 on charges of failure to maintain control of a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and driving while intoxicated-drugs. Stiles was released from the Izard County Detention Facility after appearing before Judge David E. Miller, Stiles has an April 5 court date.
David Gene Pennington, age 19 of Calico Rock was arrested Friday night on charges of public intoxication, possession of intoxicating liquor by a minor, and obstructing governmental operations. Pennington was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the following day after posting a $1,160 bond and given an April 7 court date.
Zulma Perez, age 51 of Columbus, Mississippi was arrested March 13 for driving on a suspended license. Perez posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $365 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a May 3 court date.
Jessica Louise Geaslin, age 30 of Mount Pleasant was arrested March 13 on a harassment warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bond.
