TRUCK THEFT RESULTS IN ARREST

Thief charges have been filed against Charles Wayne Crider in connection with the theft of a pickup truck. According to the female complainant, Crider spent the night and following an argument she went to bed and awoke the next morning to find her truck missing. The next day, Crider called the complainant and stated that he was in her truck and that he would bring back the truck before she had to go to work the next day. Crider did not return the truck as promised.  Crider was arrested March 29 and being held in the Izard County Detention Facility on this class “c” felony in lieu of $10,000. Crider has a circuit court date of April 13. Deputy D.J. Tiernan was the arresting officer.

Following a response Friday night to a domestic in progress, Deputy Toby Smith observed three people on the floor fighting. During the fiasco, Wayne Worsham pushed the officer and took a charge stance toward him at which time Worsham was tased. Worhsam was charged with two counts of domestic battering and disorderly conduct. Worsham, age 59 of Horseshoe Bend was released from the Izard County Detention Facility Sunday after posting a $1,000 bond and given a Horseshoe Bend court date of April 5.

Following several complaints in recent days, an arrest warrant was issued for Travis Lee Briggs, age 18 of Melbourne. Briggs was arrested March 29 by Sheriff Tate Lawrence on charges to include criminal trespass, and loitering. Briggs remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $2,000 cash bond and has a court date of April 7.          

Charles Edward Young, age 25 of Memphis, Tennessee was arrested early morning Thursday  on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving left of center, failure to register vehicle, improper use of registration, and no vehicle insurance. Young was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the following day after posting a $1,370 bond and issued a May 3 Horseshoe Bend court date. Deputy R.C. Lenex was the arresting officer.

Bradley Troy McNealy, age 44 of Guion was arrested March 30 on an out of state felony warrant and is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility awaiting extradition to Illinois. Sgt. Mark Simino was the arresting officer.

Peter Sutterfield Jr., age 40 of Calico Rock was arrested March 27 on a criminal contempt of court warrant for failure to pay circuit court fines. Sutterfield remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $3,619 bond with a court date of April 13. Deputy Cody Cruse was the arresting officer.

Matthew Loris Jones, age 32 of Calico Rock was arrested Thursday following an appearance in drug court and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond. Sgt. Mark Simino was the transporting officer.

Lisa Simms Myers, age 58 of Melbourne was arrested March 29 on a failure to pay fines warrant and was released the day of her arrest from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a $545 cash bond. Myers was given a court date of April 7.  Deputy Cody Cruse was the arresting officer.

Joseph Paul Staggs, age 19 of Calico Rock was arrested Thursday on a failure to appear warrant. Staggs was released the following day from the Izard County Detention Facility after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller who issued Staggs an April 7 court date.

Victoria Kaye Nodine, age 21 of Mountain Home was arrested March 29 on a failure to appear warrant. Nodine remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $4,240 cash bond with a scheduled court date of April 7. Deputy D.J. Tiernan was the arresting officer.

Jennifer Marie Thompson, age 39 of Salem was arrested Sunday on a contempt of court charge relating to possession of drug paraphernalia and is being held on an absconder warrant from the Arkansas Department of Correction.  Bond for Thompson has been set at $3,765 cash. Deputy Geoffrey Watts was the transporting officer.

Deborah Ann Compton, age 36 of Cherokee Village was arrested Friday on a contempt of court warrant relating to failure to pay fines in circuit court. Compton was released the following day from the Izard County Detention Facility after appearing before District Judge David E. Miller and issued an April 13 court date .Deputy Evan Jones was the arresting officer.

Ethan Lane Curtis, age 23 of Mt. Pleasant was arrest Friday night on the charge of driving on a suspended license. Curtis was released the following day from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a $195 bond and issued a court day of Mary 5. Deputy Mike Foster was the arresting officer.
