POSSESSION OF FIREARM CHARGES

A Melbourne man was arrested May 25 following two theft incidences at a local business. Kevin Rush, age 49 is accused of entering the business on three separate nights and taking numerous items. Most of the items were retrieved at his residence. At the time of his arrest, Rush tested positive for several illegal drugs to include meth and marijuana and prescription drugs of oxycodone and benzodiazepines. Rush remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,500 bond relating to the two theft of property charges.Lieutenant Charles made the arrest.

Jeffery Chase Moser, age 27 who gave his address as Conway was arrested May 25 after it was determined that he had pawned two pistols at a neighbors pawn shop, a Lorcin 25 automatic and a Taurus 357. Moser was convicted of several felonies in Izard County Circuit Court in February of 2011 and as such he was prohibited from possessing a firearm. Moser’s charges include two counts of possession a firearm by a certain person, each class “d” felonies. At the time of his arrest, Moser tested positive for several illegal drugs.  Moser remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $15,000 bond and a probation/parole hold.

An alteration May 25 in the Bandmill parking lot resulted in the arrest of Kimberly Lynn Fannon on charges of domestic battery and criminal mischief. Fannon, age 23 of Sage is accused of assaulting her mother and ripping the review mirror from the windshield of the car she was driving which was a loaner car from a local business. Fannon was released May from the Izard County Detention Facility after appearing before Judge Jim Short. Deputy D.J. Tiernan was the arresting officer. Fannon has a June 16 court date.

David Chester Hardin, age 60 of Melbourne was arrested May 25 on the charge of public intoxication and was released the following day from the Izard County Detention Facility after an initial appearance before a judge. Deputy D.J. Tiernan was the arresting officer. Hardin has a June 16 court date.

Ada Francetta Hudson, age 39 of Batesville was arrested May 25 on a charge of theft of by deception. Hudson posted a $500 cash bond the following day and was released to Sharp County authorities to face charges in that jurisdiction. Hudson has a June 16 curt date.

Matthew Thomas Foy, age 54 of Violet Hill was arrested May 25 for driving on a suspended license. Foy posted bond the following day in the amount of $365, released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a July 7 curt date. Cpl. Richard Williams was the arresting officer.

Jolynn Mandel, age 31 of Little Rock was arrested May 25 on an absconder warrant and an Independence County hold. Mandel remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond. Sgt. Mark Simino was the arresting officer.

Following a motor vehicle accident, Jessica Nicole Young, age 24 of Norfolk was arrested May 23 on charges to include careless driving, failure to stop after an accident, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Young posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $1,660 and was released from the Izard County Dention Facility with a June 23 court date. Trooper Mark Morton was the arresting officer.

Matthew Loris Jones, age 32 of Dolph was arrested May 23 on a parole/probation revocation. Jones remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond. Sgt. Mark Simino was the arresting officer.

William Shayne Porter, age 54 of Holland, Missouri was arrested May 22 on two contempt of court warrants. Porter remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of bond amounts totaling $11,390 and is scheduled to appear in Izard County District Court June 16 and Izard County Circuit Court June 28.

Travis Deen Armistead, age 33 of Mountain Home was arrested Friday on charges of possession of a controlled substance and failure to pay fines. Armistead remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $3,100 cash bond. Deputy Steve Davidson was the arresting officer.
