Izard County Judge David Sherrell has proclaimed June 14 Flag Day as the day to ceremonial retire of torn tattered and otherwise unserviceable American Flags. As such, a Flag retirement ceremony will be held at 12:15 p.m. this day at the Izard County Sheriff’s Office. Judge Sherrell said the proper disposal of unserviceable American Flags is a means to honor and show respect for representing the greatest country on earth. The Judge also encourages everyone to show the utmost respect for our flag not only on Flag Day but every day of the year. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend this honorable event.
