An Evening Shade woman, thirty eight year old Stacy Ann Moore was arrested Saturday night on multiple charges including driving while intoxicated refusal to submit to a chemical test, disorderly conduct, no insurance, and driving on a suspended license. The charges follow a one vehicle accident. Moore remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,285 bond with an August 8 Melbourne court date. Cpl. Richard Williams was the arresting officer.
James Alvin Baney, age 38 of Cherokee Village was arrested June 22 in Horseshoe Bend on several charges to include failure to yield, driving with a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated-drugs, and driving left of center. Baney was released later the day of his arrest after posting a $2,775 bond and was given an August 2 Horseshoe Bend court date. Deputy R.C. Lenex was the arresting officer.
A Bradford man, Billy Joe Chance, age 29 was arrested Friday of driving while intoxicated-drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving left of center. Chance posted bond on Sunday in the amount of $2,110 and given a July 21 Melbourne court date. Deputy Mike Foster was the arresting officer.
Steven Lee Elrod, age 32 of Trumann was arrested June 22 on the charge of public intoxication. Elrod posted a $220 later the day of his arrest and was issued an August 2 Horseshoe Bend court date. Deputy R.C. Lenex was the arresting officer.
Lucian Garrett Herrington, age 19 was arrested June 22 on charges of possession of a controlled substance and careless a prohibited driving. The Mt. Pleasant man was released later the day of his arrest and given a July 21 Melbourne court date. Cpl. Richard Williams was the arresting officer.
Brenda Lee Files, age 49 of Mountain Home was arrested June 25 and placed on a criminal investigative hold pending charges. Deputy Jayden Whitfield was the arresting officer.
Joseph Anthony Gaston, age 32 of Batesville was arrested June 23 on a contempt charge out of Melbourne District Court. Gaston posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,070 and given a July 7 court date. Deputy Cody Cruse was the arresting officer.
Kevin Layne Rush, age 49 of Melbourne was arrested June 21 on Independence County charges and was transported to Batesville.
Two drug court participants were committed to jail as the result of infractions. Stacy Ann Alberson, age 40 of Horseshoe Bend was committed on June 20 for a 14 day period while Samantha Jo Branscum was committed to a seven day period.
Bobby Ray Eddy, age 49 of Batesville was transported June22 to the Arkansas Department of Correction.
