ASSAULT RESULTS IN ARREST

Jeremy Allen Woods, age 37 of Jordan was arrested Friday afternoon following an altercation at a Pineville business. Woods is accused of entering the business and striking a customer who had been a co-worker of his at another business.  During the process, some merchandise of the store was damaged. Woods has been charged with assault first degree and criminal mischief. Woods was released from the Izard County Detention Facility on Sunday after appearing before Judge David E. Miller.  Woods has a scheduled court date of July 21. Deputy Cody Cruse was thearrestingofficer.

Rodney Paul Medling, age 41 of Brockwell was charged with offenses due to his conduct while in the Izard County Detention Facility. Medling has been charged with obstructing governmental operations and disorderly conduct and has a court date of July 21.

Stacy Moore, age 38 of Evening Shade was arrested Saturday near Zion following the compliant that a woman was walking around the area without clothes on. Moore was charged with public display of obscenity. Moore appeared before Judge David E. Miller on Sunday and issued a July 21 court date. Deputy Cody Cruse was the arresting officer.

Zabrien Allen Meek, age 35 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested Saturday on a failure to pay fines warrant. Meek appeared before Judge David E. Miller the following day, released from the Izard County Detetnion Facility with an August 18 court date.

A Horseshoe Bend woman, Codi Elizabeth Schales, age 23 was arrested Friday for driving on a suspended license. Schales posted bond the following day in the amount of $385 and given A September 6 Horseshoe Bend court date. Deputy Toby smith was the arresting officer.

A 77 year old woman who was under a court no contact order has been arrested for violating that order. Geneva Jewell Anderson of Lacrosse Road in Melbourne has violated that order several times during the past few months and had been warned, according to Sheriff Tate Lawrence,  that she could in up in jail and have to answer the charges. Anderson was arrested July 9 and spent the night in the Izard County Detention Facility before appearing before Judge David E. Miller the following day. Deputy Cody Cruse was the arresting officer. Anderson is scheduled to appear in court on July 21.

Robert Ervin Davis, age 38 of Batesville was arrested July 12 on charges of driving on a suspended license and domestic battering third degree. The domestic battery charge stems from a warrant resulting from a July 5 domestic situation where David is accused of grabbing his girlfriend by the throat, jerking her from a vehicle and throwing her to the ground. Davis remains in the Izard County Detention Facility n lieu of a $500 cash bond. Davis has a Melbourne court date of July 21 and a Horseshoe Bend court date of August 2. Deputy Toby Smith was  the arresting officer.

Tori Leann Riley, age 39 of Wiseman was arrested July 8 after deputies were call to Honeysuckle Road in response to a domestic violence complaint.  Reiley is accused of becoming physical with her 62 year old mother. A witness said that Reiley pushed her mother to the ground, hit her, and tried to strangle her mother. Riley resisted officers, attempted to get loose from them, attempted kicking one deputy. Reiley was charged with domestic battering third degree, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. She remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $2,500 cash bond with a court date of August 18. Deputy Evan Jones was the arresting officer.

Jamie Nichole Loosey, age 28 of Calico Rock was arrested July 8 for absconding and failure to appear. Loosey remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond.

Tammy Marie Tharp, age 28 of Ash Flat was arrested Thursday night inHorseshoe Bend on the charge of public intoxication. Tharp remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $220 bond and a hold from Sharp County. Tharp has a Horseshoe Bend court date of August 2.  Deputy Mike Smith was the arresting officer.

Lewis Dennis Berry, age 63 of Viola was arrested July 11 on a failure to appear warrant. Berry was released from the Izard County Detention facility on July 13 and given anAugust 8 court date.

Jamie Clayton Stapleton, age 36 of Pineville turned himself in to authorities on July 10 in response to two warrants, one from circuit court and one from district court, for failure to pay fines. Stapleton appeared in circuit court the following day and was released after paying on both warrants.

A domestic call to a Lunen Street apartment in Melbourne July 13 resulted in the arrest of Dustin Michael Baird, age 29 of Melbourne and Rebecca Denise Dockins, age 44 of were charged with domestic battery third degree. Both were released the following day with a July 21 court date. Lieutenant Charles Melton was the arresting officer.

Steven Martin Brewer, age 47 of Calico Rock was arrested July 10 on a failure to appear warrant. Brewer appeared before Judge David E. Miller the day of his arrest and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Brewer has a scheduled court date of July 21. Deputy Mike Foster was the arresting officer.

Russell Joseph Foley, age 47 of Melbourne was arrested July 12 on a Stone County warrant and was transported to Mountain View the day of his arrest. Deputy D.J. Tiernan was the arresting officer.

Two Izard County Drug Court participants have been jailed for violating provisions of that court. James Frey, age 24 of Brockwell was jailed July 11 to serve a 21 day commitment. Stacey Ann Alberson, age 40 of Horseshoe Bend was jailed the same day to serve an 8 day commitment.

Johnie Henry Swafford, age 25 of Searcy who has been held in the Izard County Detention Facility since June 3 waiting on bed space with the Arkansas Department of Correction was transported July 11.
