MORRIS ARRESTED AGAIN FOR ASSAULT

Dorothy Marie Banning, age 58 of Sidney was arrested the night of July 18 on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless driving, and having no liability vehicle insurance. Banning posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,235, given an August 4 court date and released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Trooper Jason Hooks was the arresting officer.

Timothy Allen Morris, age 52 of Pineville was arrested July 19 on the charge of criminal mischief and domestic battering. Morris is accused of hitting a relative’s vehicle with a shovel and attacking the victim. Morris appeared in Izard County District Court on July 21, given a revised court date of August 18 and released from jail. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said this is the second assault type arrest of Morris in the past couple of months.

Shona Marie Crouch, age 38 of Melbourne was arrested July 20 on an Independence County failure to pay fines warrant. Crouch was given a court date and released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Deputy D.J. Tiernan was the arresting officer.

Joshua David Sanders, age 38 of Dolph was arrested July 21 while appearing in court on a previous charge. Sanders was arrested on a failure to appear warrant and later appeared before District Judge David E. Miller and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. According to Sheriff Tate Lawrence, Sanders has frequent encounters with law enforcement.  Deputy Mindy Jones took Sanders into custody.

Holly Marie Craig, age 33 of Ash Flat was arrested July 21 on a failure to appear warrant. Craig was released the following day from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a $500 cash bond. Craig was given an August 2 Horseshoe Bend Court date. Deputy Cody Cruse was the arresting officer.

Jerry Don Clements, age 48 of Horseshoe Bend was committed to the Izard County Detention to serve a 7 day drug court imposed commitment.

James Allen Meche, age 34 of Church Point, Louisiana was extradited July 21 to Louisiana on that state’s felony warrant. Meche had been incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Facility since Feb 8. Lieutenant Charles Melton was the arresting officer.

William Shanye Porter, age 54 of Holland Missouri was arrested July 18 on an Izard County felony failure to appear warrant. Porter remains in the Izard County Detention Facility with bond and has a scheduled circuit court date of August 20 Deputy Y. D. Whitehurst was the arresting officer.

Travis Lee Briggs, age 18 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested July 18 on the criminal trespass and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,000 cash bond. Briggs has a scheduled Horseshoe Bend court date of August2. Deputy Toby Smith was the arresting officer.

Timothy Scott Cannon, age 24 of Horseshoe Bend was July 20 to the Arkansas Department of Correction to serve a prison sentence. Timothy Scott Derrickson, age 37 of was transferred to the Arkansas Department on the same date. Derrickson had been incarcerated in the Izard County Detention Facility since Mary 23. Jacob Anthony Frey, age 27 was also transported to the department of correction on the July 20. Nathan Patrick Duke, age 23 was transported on July 19 to the Arkansas Department of Correction. Duke had been in the Izard County Detention Facility since May 19.
