MORE DOMESTIC ARRESTS

A domestic situation July 2 resulted in the arrest of two individuals, Kenneth Dale Johnson, age 33 of Oxford and Christina Michelle Jackson, and age 27 of the same address. Deputy Cody Cruse stated that an altercation had taken place. Cruse noted that he had responded to the location  numerous times in the past and that the arguments that escalated in physical altercation were over drugs. The two were charged with domestic battering third degree, a class “a” misdemeanor.  Kenneth Johnson made an initial appearance before District Judge David E. miller on August 4 and was released with an August 18 court date. Christina Jackson was transferred to a medical facility the day of her arrest for reasons not related to the domestic situation. She too has a court date of August 18.

In another domestic situation, two males have been charged with battery third degree. An altercation between Christopher Lynn Scarbro, age 32 of Horseshoe Bend and Nicholas Seth Wommack, age 32 of Melbourne allegedly took place outside of Tally Ho restaurant and club last Friday night. . Following  the issuance of an arrest warrant. Both turned themselves in to the Izard County Sheriff’s Department on August 2 and were jailed. Both posted bond in the amount of $200 cash the day of their arrest and were released with an August 18 court date.

In yet another battering case, Cory Wayne Horton, age 18 of Melbourne was arrested August 2   on the charge of domestic battering third degree. A situation at the walking trail involvings at least 4 acquaintances resulted in an alteration between a young male and female on July 29. Cory appeared before Judge David E. Miler on August 4 at which time he was released with a court date of August 18.

In other activity, Bethany Hope Cooper, age 28 of Draco was arrested August 3 on the charge of failure to pay fines. Cooper appeared in Izard County District Court on August 4 where she was released and given an August 18 court date.

Morgan Wade Jackson, age 24 of Violet Hill was arrested August 4 for driving on a suspended license. Jackson posted bond the day of his arrested in the amount of $365 and was released with a September 8 court date.

Leonard Ellis Sparks, age 21 of Glencoe was arrested early morning of August 4 on charges of no driver license, no insurance and improper registration. Sparks remains in the Izard CountyDetentionFacility in lieu of $1020 bond with a September 6 court date.

In a couple of alcohol related arrests, Audrey Howard, age 20 of Melbourne was arrested the night of August 2 on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless driving, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Howard posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $2,250 and released with a September 8 court date. The other involved a driving while intoxicated charge against Zachoria Henry, age 19 of Sidney. Henry remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $820 bond with a September 8 court date.
