SON VIOLENT TOWARDS MOTHER

Deputy Geoffrey Watts was dispatched to an Oxford residence October 19 in response to a domestic violence call. The 59 year old mother of Jason Michael Barrow reported that Barrow, age 34 had grabbed her by the neck and twisted it until it made a cracking sound. She furthermore said that he asked, “How would you like it if I broke your neck”. Barrow had left the residence before officer arrived but was located a short time later. Barrow was released from the Izard County Detention Facility after appearing in district court the following day with another court date of January 3.

What began Thursday as a mere discussion about cows being out of a fenced enclosure and on the property of another resulted in the arrest of Joe Dewayne Alexander, age 42 of Oxford. During the discussion with Sgt. Mark Simino, Alexander became belligerent, was very uncooperative and somewhat combative. Alexander was charged with disorderly conduct and permitting livestock to run at large. Alexander remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $320 bond.

Donnie Speak was arrested October 18 for driving on a suspended license. Speak, age 64 of Calico Rock made an initial appearance in court on October 20 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Deputy Jaden Whitfield was the arresting officer.

Another Calico Rock man, Billy Joe Powell, age 35 was arrested October 19 on a felony failure to appear warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility without bond. Powell is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court on November 16. Sgt. Mark Simino was the arresting officer.

Nathaniel David Arnold, age 35 of Dolph was arrested October 15 on the charge of failure to appear and posted the day of his arrest in the amount of $3,780 and made his initial court appearance on October 20. Cpl. Richard Williams was the arresting officer.

Kelly Moore, age 30 of Calico Rock was arrested Friday afternoon on charges of public intoxication-drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. While being booked into the Izard County Detention Facility, Moore tested positive for several drugs including methamphetamine. Kelly was released from jail on Sunday and was picked up by Baxter County authorities. Moore has a court date of November 17. Sgt. Mark Simino was the arresting officer.

Cody Lee Stacy, age 41 of Dolph was arrested Sunday on a warrant accusing him of harassing communications. Stacy remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $2,500 cash bond and has a court date of November 17.  Deputy Geoffrey Watts was the arresting officer.

John English, age 28 of Ash Flat was arrested Saturday on a failure to pay fines warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $675 bond. English as a court date of November 3. English was transported by Deputy Cody Cruse from Fulton County where he was arrested.

A Horseshoe Bend man, Michael Adam Jarman, age 43 was arrested Friday on a Baxter County warrant and transferred to Baxter County. Deputy Doyle Cross was the arresting officer.

Clifton Davis, age 51 of Melbourne was arrested October 18 on a Pulaski County Medicaid fraud warrant and by direction of Pulaski County was given a court date and released.Sgt. Mark Simino was the arresting officer.

Donathan Fizer Speak, age 41 of Calico Rock was arrested October 18 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Speak appeared in court October 20 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Deputy Jaden Whitfield was the arresting officer.

Harold Eugene Climer, age 52 of Little Rock was arresting October 19 on a failure to appear warrant. Climer remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $1,000 cash bond with a scheduled court date of November 1 in Horseshoe Bend. Deputy Dennis Hutchins was the transport officer.

William Joseph Carter, age 23 of Melbourne was arrested Thursday for driving on suspended license. Carter, well known to law enforcement, posted bond the following day in the amount of $365 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Carter is scheduled to appear in court November 17. Cpl. Richard Williams was the arresting officer.
