Four arrested following altercation

Herbert Dean Howell, age 49 of Viola was arrested November 1 on a warrant accusing him of theft of property. It is alleged that Howell stole items from an Oxford residence in July of this year. These items included two Coleman camping tents, various leather working tools, and another tent with poles and stakes. Total value of the property estimated at $425. Howell was released the day of his arrest after posting a $500 bond and was given a November 17 court date. Deputy Mike Foster was the arresting officer.

Four people, three men and one woman, were arrested in Calico Rock Sunday night following an altercation. Arrested were Travis Briggs, age 19 of Calico Rock; Dylan Ray Sefers, age 20 of Calico Rock; Anthony Eugene Harris, age 48 of Calico Rock; and Angel Cerissa Huckaba, age 23 of Calico Rock. All four remain in jail in lieu of $220 bond each and all have a December 12 court date. Deputies D.J. Tiernan and Steve Davidson were the arresting officers.

Amber Lynn Mix, age 29 of Oxford was arrested November 7 on a failure to appear warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $440 cash only bond. Mix’s court date is scheduled for November 17 Deputy Mike Foster was the arresting officer.

Chaz Michael Dampier, age 21 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested November 28 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Dampier was sentenced to jail in Horseshoe Bend court and was released with time served on November 1. Deputy Dennis Hutchins was the transport officer.

Clint William Young, age 39 of Norfolk was arrested November 2 on a Baxter County warrant and was picked up from Izard County Detention Facility on the day of his arrest by Baxter authorities.  Deputy Geoffrey Watts was the arresting officer.

Austin Ray Smith, age 23 of Highland was arrested October 31 on three counts of theft of property. The charges stem from allegations that Smith stole a circular saw, a credit and other items from his grandmother’s home. Smith was released the following day and had a November 7 court date. Deputy Jaden Whitfield was the arresting officer.

Cynthia Ann Porter, age 41 of Cherokee Village was incarcerated October 27 for a 7 day commitment for violating terms drug court. Porter was released November 3.

Sherman Gayle Horner, age 55 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested November 3 on a Sharp County warrant and was transported the day of his arrest to Ash Flat. Deputy R.C. Lenex was the arresting officer.

Savoy Dylan Stewart, age 29 of Dolph was arrested Sunday on a criminal contempt of court warrant. Stewart posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $1,500 and was given a November 7 court date, Deputy Geoffrey Watts was the arresting officer.

Brandon Joshua Winzer, age 23 of Oxford was arrested November 3 on the charge of public intoxication-drugs and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $220 bond with a December 15 court date. Deputy Evan Jones was the arresting officer.

Christy May Barlett, age 47 of Calico Rock was arrested November 2 for possession of a controlled substance. Barlett remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,250 bond and has a court date of December 15. Sgt. Gabe Sanders was the arresting officer.

An Oxford man, Cory Lee Stone, age 39 was arrested October 29 for operating a vehicle no license plates and having no driver’s license and on a warrant for possessing a controlled substance-meth, and possession of an instrument of crime.  Stone was released from the Izard County Detention Facility on October 31 after posting a $10,435 bond and has a district court date of December 15 and a circuit court date on November 7. Cpl. Richard Williams was the arresting officer.

Sherry Lynn Anderson, age 50 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested October 31 a bond revocation, appeared in court November 3, released and given a January 17 court date. Deputy D.J. Tiernan was the arresting officer
