The body of Colton Farley, age 19 was recovered from Crown Lake in Horseshoe Bend Wednesday afternoon around 2:200 p.m. The night prior, Izard County Dispatch was contacted by Box Hound Marina and immediately responded to the lake. The boat Farley was trying out was located on the far side of the lake from where it was launched. The following morning, sonar equipped boats from the Izard County Sheriff’s Department and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission were launched and the body was located after several hours. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said it is unclear how the drowning occurred. The only thing known for certain is that Farley entered the marina area at about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
