Matthew Loris Jones, age 33 of Calico Rock who fled from law enforcement last Thursday night was arrested December 5. Jones, who had an absconder warrant from the Arkansas Department of Correction was stopped in Pineville Thursday and when advised that he was under arrest immediately accelerated his vehicle and sped away. Deputy Mark Simino gave chase from Pineville into Fulton County, through Viola and then into Salem. In Salem, Fulton County deputies joined the chase which continued on highway 9 north toward Union.
