NEWBORN CHILD TESTED POSITIVE FOR METH, MOTHER CHARGED

Following giving birth, Lindsey D. Gilbreath, age 33 of Ash Flat has been charged with introducing a controlled substance into the body of another person.  This class “y” felony is the result of the new born baby tested positive for methamphetamine and other controlled substances and began suffering withdrawal symptoms shortly after birth.  Gilbreath has a circuit court date of 1/17/17 and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $10,000.

The driver of the vehicle that hit a child attempting to board a school bus Thursday morning has been arrested and charged assault first degree. Tyler Heath Little, age 28 was arrested following the child –vehicle incident. The seven year old boy was flown to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said it is his understanding that the child has significantly less injuries than originally thought.  Little has a court date of February 2.

Karen Leigh Dwight, age 49 of Dolph was arrested Thursday on charges of domestic battery third degree and endangering the welfare of a minor. Dwight was released from the Izard County Detention Facility the day of her arrest after posting a $1,000 cash bond. Dwight has a scheduled court date of January 19. Deputy Geoffrey Watts was the arresting officer.

Donathan Speak, age 43 of Pineville was arrested Thursday for Violation of Arkansas Hot Check law and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,191 cash bond. Speak is scheduled to be in court January 19. Sgt. Mark Simino was the arresting officer.

Phillip Randall Bartlett, age 28 of Flippin was arrested January 4 on felony failure to appear charges. Bartlett remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bond and has a scheduled circuit court date of January 17.

Alica Nicole Harris, age 31 was arrested January 4 on the charge of driving on a suspended license and posted bond the day of her arrest in the amount of $365 and was released from jail. Harris has a district court date of February 2. Deputy Jaden Whitfield was the arresting officer.

A Mountain View man, Derrick Wayne Foster, age 36 was arrested Thursday on the charge of disorderly conduct. Foster remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $220 bond and has a court date of February 2. Deputy Geoffrey Watts was the arresting officer.

Brian Kyle Reed, age 21 of Benton was arrested Friday for possessing a controlled substance and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,250 bond. Reed has a Horseshoe Bend court date of March 7.Cpl. Richard Williams was the arresting officer.
